Tryst Curtis has done an amazing job as to fill the gap of the great Tim Hauser would have been difficult on so many levels. They choose wisely. Other well known scat singers are Scatman Carruthers, Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Durante, Al Jarreau, Roger Miller, Sammy Davis Jr., and Bobby McFerrin.
I really like what Bobby McFerrin did with the Pentatonic Scale. He toured the world giving demonstrations of his unique talents and enticing the entire audience (studio, amphitheater, stadium) to perform with him. Reminiscences of the India chant in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", but a more melodic and interactive event. Truly an awe inspiring spectacle.

The fact that MT are currently touring for the last time in their mid-seventies is just amazing. Now there is a group that love music. For me I prefer MT's jazz and vocalese more than their earlier pop prior to Cheryl Bentyne came on board. In fact I think Cheryl is one of the best jazz singers out there.

Unless the avatar attached to your channel is of your granddaughter, you hardly seem capable of meeting Scatman Carruthers. He was born in 1910 and passed away in 1986.
