Congratrs 👏on ur purchase, I'm located in the east and i never heard of this Jeep. I must say it looks great I personally would have no problem driving ur rig.
In India we call this vehicle as the Jeep. We do not know any other Jeep. We do not even call it Mahindra. I am talking about how it was 30 years ago when i was a youngster (though this vehicle has been in the market since the 1940s). Back in those days there were cars, and there were Jeeps. Cars were meant for the cities. Jeeps for the rural areas (because there were no roads lol). We did not realize that Jeep was a brand name. And also Mahindra is not just a tractor company. They build all sort of automobiles. This is THE workhorse vehicle of India if you ask anyone from the past generation, especially from the rural areas. Known for its reliability and capacity to take on abuse.
I think more than everything, you look happy. That positive energy is contagious. I like it. And oh, you can add "More reliable than Jeep to your list". of course, won't cost an arm and leg to fix it.
Love your Roxor! I got a 2019 and have really enjoyed it. A few things I would recommend for anyone considering getting one is getting some aftermarket shocks like a set of Bilsteins and getting a set of manual front hubs and a differential locker. The shocks make the ride so much better and the manual hubs take a lot of strain off the steering when you don't need the 4x4 engaged.
Very cool. Reminds me of my 1986 CJ7, the last AMC Jeep to be made and it had no bells and whistles, similar to this, but of course without a diesel. Nice thing about these rigs with no technology is that there is little that can go wrong.
True. They sued over the grill and won. Overall, thats all they won. Many people take CJ7, willis and other jeep models parts and throw then at the roxor. Can get lockers, lifts, hitches, bumpers, ect off the jeep aftermarket.
Roxor is a nice and basic Jeep type vehicle which shares the same DNA as the original Jeeps. Mahindra has been making these under license in India since 1947. Most of us who lived in rural areas here in India have always had some kind of diesel powered Mahindra Jeep around. In the 1980’s there came the gasoline/ petrol powered Suzuki Samurai who came along to give some competition. This is the favourite of the armed forces and police even now. Now mostly enthusiasts own and keep it as an off road toy. The samurai is great but the India utility market is a Diesel market. This Roxor is like the Jeep YJ,TJ, CJ series with that curved bonnet hood and all. We had these as the MM540, 550 and Thar here in India. So the Mahindra Jeep legacy goes on, in the form of the new Thar. Mahindra was always about utilitarian cues. Made for the people by the people. It is only now that hey are getting into the affordable lifestyle market here in India. The Roxor is not at all one of these pretentious modern SUV type things. Nowadays these new Jeep Wranglers and Landrovers are made for the rich wannabe city slicker poseur Jack’s and not the utility focused rural people who will actually use it and get it nice and dirty. The Roxor is as simple as it gets. And it is priced nicely. So go out and buy it. It won’t let you down because it has relatively few electronics and gizmos.
Have the same windshield on my roxor and it rattled the same way. I put a rubber grommet over the nut that hits the frame. Been rattle free ever since.
I really want one. Looks like my CJ7. I saw they redesigned it a little but it’s pretty much the same mechanically. Jeep failed at keeping it out of the American market.
I have a 2019 and a 86 cj7. The roxor will crawl around so much better than the cj. the cj I did mod with a 350 chev and it sits mostly. The roxor has been chipped and has hit 80 according to my gps. I love the ability of that little diesel to idle around and will climb without any throttle input at all. You can't kill it in low range, low gear. Other than chipping it I did build an extended cab with cj windwhield and rollbar off a 77cj. The body of a roxor measures out the same as a cj as does the wheel base. Same as the 77 before they widened the stance of the later cj's. Roxor is more fun for the buck. Might add, mine is fully plated road legal.
On the east coast these things start at 16 and go to 21 grand. Here is WV we can drive side by sidez on the road now so I am really considering one of these.
You rock. Subscribed. Here in india we have the big brother of roxcer. Mahindra thar 4×4. Enjoyed your vedio. Roxcer is fun . Easy and airy. Keep smiling.
@@BridgetFabel yaa thar is a good car with some good features. But not as good for city drive. Its complete off roader. Do u like the old fashion classic vehicals or go with feature loaded vehicals.
What I love about this is it seems so simple. Thats what I hate about new vehicle designs. Seems like we the consumers have little to no choices. Manufacturers say we're going to build these complex space age cars/trucks and you all better just like it because if you don't - we guess that's just too bad. You consumers better just step in line and learn to like what we want to sell you because we're the only game in town.
Mahindra is planning to make 1900h/p Electric super car. So, calling them only "Tracktor manufacturer" is quite underrated and recently they launched xuv700 which has some of the best class features in very minimal package.
I’ve seen these for some time but in my state and many others you can’t make it street legal if it wasn’t delivered that way from the manufacturer. Which means it has to meet federal highway safety and emissions requirements. If the MCO says “off road only” then you’re stuck. God bless you if you live in a state that lets you make it legal by adding, mirrors, a horn and turn signals. Check before you buy if that’s your plan.
Seeing you drive out in remote areas like this -- it makes me wonder whether someone couldn't come up with a mini-camper add-on for Roxor. Could it work?
You sure got a deal on that vehicle. Everywhere I checked they start at $15500 stripped, not street legal. That little diesel will last forever. Someof the You Tube video I've seen people complain about the availability of parts. Do you use DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) in it. I like the way you have it set up 👍

I go everywhere my Ford Ranger went and as far as my Landrover Defender went wi the amazing reliability, economy and comfort. It cruises happily and quietly at 120km/h and gets around 8.6l/100km at that speed. It can easily get u to 180 km/h but feels unstable at anything over 160 km/h. It Carrie's 980kg in the bin which is deep spacious. It's never let me down in 140000km of Southern African potholes tar roads, corrugated gravel roads, soft sand tracks and mountain goat tracks. Simply fantastic. I bought the vehicle standard at 359000 ZAR and upgraded the poor quality tyres and shocks at another 20000 ZAR. I've alo installed towbar and thar cost 5700 ZAR new. Best value for money to do the job. I love it! Extremely comfortable with chains chairs and spacious cabin.
Mahindra in India, along with Tata, have been defining off-roading from ages, and yes this thing explored mountains, swamps, deserts and yeah most important, the battlefield
You make that little thing look so big! I've been looking at getting a roxor for a couple years now, a boat had to come first though....
The absolute coolest part of this video is a young lady liking the Roxor coz it's "old school" Your awesome Miss Bridget :)
Surprised you don't have more subscribers by now you're a badass! enjoy the vids
I appreciate that, please spread the word!
I think more than everything, you look happy. That positive energy is contagious. I like it.
And oh, you can add "More reliable than Jeep to your list". of course, won't cost an arm and leg to fix it.
Hey bridgette. Enjoy your ride. All wishes from the Indian jeeping community.
That’s a cool buggy 🤙hope you have good luck with it!
Mahindra makes tractors, trippers, trucks, suvs, small cars, buses, armored vehicles, army trucks, lawnmowers etc etc.
it also owns Pininferrina
U r reallly good at explaining everything as a user.👍
That means a lot thank you!
@@BridgetFabel i couldn't believe u replied to my comment.....u made my day
You can give this jeep to your great grand children’s .
WHAT A GREAT REVIEW!
Dang...not quite sure how I ended up here...one of those rabbit-hole trips but I want a Roxor now. great vid by the way.
Great video Bridget don't forget spare gas cans and spare water mounts
I will add it to my list thank you
Love your Roxor!
Very cool, I'm going to check these out.
Very cool. Reminds me of my 1986 CJ7, the last AMC Jeep to be made and it had no bells and whistles, similar to this, but of course without a diesel. Nice thing about these rigs with no technology is that there is little that can go wrong.
The Roxor can accept parts from a CJ7. Cj5 and Willys. Its one bad rig once the ECM is unlocked hitting 70mph
So true! They are simple and built to last
Only downside is those old CJ’s are just that… old
Like the idea of basically a brand new CJ
The salt FCA has from this vehicle is enough to fill the Dead Sea.
hehe
El oh el
True. They sued over the grill and won. Overall, thats all they won. Many people take CJ7, willis and other jeep models parts and throw then at the roxor. Can get lockers, lifts, hitches, bumpers, ect off the jeep aftermarket.
What is the full form of FCA?
It's truly disgusting that FCA is allowed to get away with this. Mahindra had completely legal and legitimate license to make Willy's Jeeps
O yea love that thing keep keeping on living the life y’all stay safe out there Covington gA
Thanks!!
Thanks for all the info in your comment!
Roxor Rocks !! The real bang for your Buck. Buy it, Customise it.. Enjoy!! 😃
Have the same windshield on my roxor and it rattled the same way. I put a rubber grommet over the nut that hits the frame. Been rattle free ever since.
Thanks for the info I’ll try that
4 banger diesel engine for the win. You earned a subscriber.
I really want one. Looks like my CJ7. I saw they redesigned it a little but it’s pretty much the same mechanically. Jeep failed at keeping it out of the American market.
I love it :) You're awesome. I have a 2000 Wrangler and I love it too. Love to have one of these as well.
Thanks for loving our Indian jeep🙏❤️
How cool..back in india I had Mahindra Thar..then I came to US for further studies and work...and finally I'm goin to buy this
That’s awesome!
Great video. You remind me of a younger Goldie Hawn.
Awesome video!!!
It's really far better, reliable then any other gas off road vehicles..
I agree!
Mahindra is not just a tractor company...it makes almost all kinds of vehicles...from small scooter to trucks
You rock. Subscribed. Here in india we have the big brother of roxcer. Mahindra thar 4×4. Enjoyed your vedio. Roxcer is fun . Easy and airy. Keep smiling.
Thanks for the sub :) I’ve heard great things about the thar!
@@BridgetFabel yaa thar is a good car with some good features. But not as good for city drive. Its complete off roader. Do u like the old fashion classic vehicals or go with feature loaded vehicals.
Dec 23...Mahindra won...assembly soon to open👍.
Looks like yours has a lifted suspension
Very nicely explained, loved the video 😀
Thanks so much!
We want more Roxor off road videos ❤️❤️❤️
They’re coming!
@@BridgetFabelwhere they are ??
Well mahindra is also in armored vehicles market. And also there trucks and engines are used in indian army exhaustively.
Nice video 👍🏻 I see why you got it now
Thanks!
love your Roxor
Mahindra is a boss in India i hope Americans also liked roxotr
Mahindra makes great SUVs in india .
Can't agree, except for the thar!
Mahindra makes great SUVs , Buses and Army vehicles in India .
Loved the video.
Love it! Rugged, fun, cool! I want one!
You should get one of those monster wheels and they drive on those bumpy terrain. Venom!!
Thank you 🥳
What I love about this is it seems so simple. Thats what I hate about new vehicle designs. Seems like we the consumers have little to no choices. Manufacturers say we're going to build these complex space age cars/trucks and you all better just like it because if you don't - we guess that's just too bad. You consumers better just step in line and learn to like what we want to sell you because we're the only game in town.
fact is, Mahindra can buy out Jeep with just a one cheque leaf.
But the thing is when Mahindra buys a company it is fucked!
Sangyong got bankrupt
Pininfarina almost going bankrupt
@@kevinkvarghese5756 you got a point there
@@kevinkvarghese5756 long nothing is bankrupt that is just a stunt to be safe from several loans to givr back in time
@@kevinkvarghese5756 ssanyong was already going down under, Mahindra tried to get it moving again but failed
I would rather buy a wrangler made in India than a Fiat thing
Mahindra is planning to make 1900h/p Electric super car. So, calling them only "Tracktor manufacturer" is quite underrated and recently they launched xuv700 which has some of the best class features in very minimal package.
Haha the mods dude, can’t get enough!
😂
Real essense of jeep is in this one ❤️
I’ve seen these for some time but in my state and many others you can’t make it street legal if it wasn’t delivered that way from the manufacturer. Which means it has to meet federal highway safety and emissions requirements. If the MCO says “off road only” then you’re stuck. God bless you if you live in a state that lets you make it legal by adding, mirrors, a horn and turn signals. Check before you buy if that’s your plan.
Seeing you drive out in remote areas like this -- it makes me wonder whether someone couldn't come up with a mini-camper add-on for Roxor. Could it work?
Yes there are actually some options like that available and they look great!
Love Mahindra
From India ✌️
Thanks for watching!
Really like this. ❤ Lady truck lover here and I'd buy this.
You gonna name her Roxie? 🤣❤🇺🇸
Haha!!! I think you may have just named her for me, love it
Great Video !
Awesome ride.. 👍💯😎
You sure got a deal on that vehicle. Everywhere I checked they start at $15500 stripped, not street legal.
That little diesel will last forever. Someof the You Tube video I've seen people complain about the availability of parts. Do you use DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) in it. I like the way you have it set up 👍
Love your video…. A future in broadcasting I think 😏
Mahindra is india 3rd largest car making company and 1st in SUV making
Pretty cool thanks for giving me more info!
I love Roxor
Thank you mahindra
