If you came here voluntarily, you're either REALLY old or had awesome parents 💯
I have a really awesome coworker
@@lordkayla4186 where? I may need to change professions lol
Hah, the 1960s are old for me.
Old 🙁
This is still the best depiction of Cinderella, I watched this as a child growing up and still enjoy it up to today
Yes it is
Loved this when it was fresh and I was young…then it was lost for many years…still my fave. Is it the stage-play, Rogers & Hammerstein effect? I think so!
Brandy's version is equal too it for me actually.
Brandy's was also done with Rogers and Hammerstein. There's plenty of good old fashion music in it.

Actually, Disney rewrote nearly half of the script & added other songs. They tried to outdo Rodgers & Hammerstein, and I think they failed. It is a much more inferior version than the 1965 version.
I watched this nonstop as a kid, it's amazing how returning to the simple joys from your past can make the future new again.
Writing this after a year of Covid and after watching this and other R&H Cinderella clips. My heart is lightened.
That song is in my head forever since 1965. I was 9!
My sentiments exactly! What a gift we have in music ! 🎵🎶
Same .... me and my friend were always fighting over who got to play cinderellas part when we would recreate it.
Amen! Well spoken.
One of the greatest television plays that CBS ever broadcasted!
Those huge, dark eyes. So beautiful.
Lesley Ann Warren will always be Cinderella to me!! Such wonderful memories of waiting in anticipation ALL year for it to come on and watching with my mom!! The best times ever!!! Her gown was simply glorious!
As an adult, I see the color of her gown was meant to be champagne but, as a kid, I always thought it looked dirty.
I love how Celeste Holm is playing the Fairy Godmother in this but was also in Rodger's and Hammerstein's first musical Oklahoma. This really brought her career full circle.
Me too. My mom and I would watch this every year on CBS. 😌😌😌
@@sweeney60 whoa!
Same for me -I actually bought the DVD - I STILL watch it. I'm hopeless... lol
Lesley Ann Warren will always be Cinderella to me, too! Well, today Prince Charming has died at the age of 84. I am revisiting this beautiful musical at the age of 68 this year. One of my favorite memories of that period of time!
Seeing this warms my heart and soul. Like many who have written I too loved seeing this each year when it came on tv. Leslie is to me the most beautiful Cinderella. I just love this cast, the songs and the innocence of a beautiful fairytale. It reminds me of my youth when things were so much more simple.
I LOVE this version of Cinderella. I am a little girl of eight when I watch it on DVD: "In my own little corner/In my own little chair/I can be whatever I want to be."
My favorite too - and boy did I wear out that song. ♫♪ 😁
Celeste Holm's movements are so graceful and feminine.
Fun Fact: Celeste Holm was the original Ado Annie in the first Broadway production of R & H's Oklahoma back in the 40's. How great that she got to be in another R & H production years later.
This is my favorite Cinderella. I loved Lesley Ann Warren as Cinderella she was absolutely lovely.
My favorite Cinderella’s as Julie Andrews and Disneys animated original and live action remake
I grew up hearing my mother's beautifully clear, award winning alto sing this to me.... This, and Camelot, Oklahoma, The Music Man, etc. I can't hear at least one song from each (like this one) without getting that toasty warm "I love my mom!!" feeling.
Thank you, momma!!!
We , as a family watched it . My mom , dad n my siblings . Those were happy days . Now I watch all the Disney cartoons n movies with my girls n grandkids . We even took my mom 2 watch Cinderella at the theater in March 2015 n she was 88.
I was utterly enchanted when I watched it when I was growing up in the 60s
Leslie Ann Warren is so beautiful! I love her voice!
I was whistling this while walking home from work today and decided to look it up. Now my eyes are all watery.
So many memories
I sing this while I wash dishes and when I drive. It makes me happy for some reason.
I was obsessed with this version when I was a kid!!😩 As an adult, "Its Possible" that I may belt out this song very loud when I'm alone. 😁
Leslie is Cinderella in my heart and soul .. she may not be the greatest singer but her beauty and magic is amazing
I think you meant Brandy***
Perfection! Lesley Ann Warren was so winsome and charming and what can one say about Celeste Holm but that she was indeed a class act!!!!!!
The best Cinderella movie
This was one of my favorite movies as a child! Loved Lesley Ann Warren!
Mine too! This and GIGI.
Pamela Milligan
Cinderella's ball dress is just as gorgeous as I remembered as a kid
I'm just impressed how well this has been restored and remastered
My mother loved this movie. Thank you mom. She has Alzheimers but this brings back the fondest memories of us watching together. She was the most wonderful, caring woman I ever knew. Thank you mommy.
precious memory! God bless our mommas!
Happy 70th Birthday Lesley Ann Warren
OH MY GOODNESS. That old? She must be so lucky she lived to see her turn as Cinderella create a legacy. I also seen her in Richie Rich's Christmas Wish as Regina and the One And Only Genuine Original Family Band.
It's a lovely versión. Lesley is great, and the sound track is fabulous. congratulations Rodgers and Hammerstein
This is one of my favorite movies and the best versions of all times. My favorite song Ten Minutes Ago by Lesley Ann Warren and Stuart Damon. Love It!!!!
I haven't heard this song since the 1960s and it's great to hear it again. Just as I remembered! Thanks for posting this!
My mom introduced this version to me and as a pre-teen i WAS NOT impressed but little did i know it would stick with me like crazy and now i sing this versions songs more than any other Cinderella. I did a180. Frickin love this version now!
Best memory of my childhood. I wish it would aire again.
I raised my daughters on this R&H Prayer.
I watched this on Tubi last night . The best Cinderella story ever . I wish shows like this was still on t.v. like it was back in the 70's . I remember when they would have Christmas musical specials on t.v. in the 70's . I guess those days are gone for good . That's too bad , because those were some great moments in my life . I remember my mother telling me and my family that things like this were coming on t.v. that night after thumbing through the TV Guide. I miss those days .
I remember this as a child growing up in the 60s
Leslie is the true Cinderella...
What wonderful memories watching this as a child....
Loved the songs... still do!
Debra Schrock Put Leslie and Brandy together and that is harmony
Debra Schrock, I grew up on the 1965 version of Cinderella. Leslie Ann Warren is a better Cinderella. I never saw all the other versions. Leslie Ann Warren sticks in my mind today's day
I love how surprised she is that the shoes fit perfectly. like a pumpkin just turned into a vehicle, your godmothers a fairy who made a dress appear on you out of thin air, and some mice-men helped you get into your shoes but the fact that they fit is what shocks you.
crownme555 😂😂
Well, of course. The writers had to add this to set it up for when the Prince was having every girl try them on to see if they fit. We knew it would fit her perfectly.
You just won the internet and no one will ever convince me otherwise.
My wife says finding a pair of shoes that fit perfectly is more amazing than turning a pumpkin into a carriage!
I still know every single word of this song! One of my favorites when I was a kid & I saw it when it first came out. Yes...I am that old! Watched it every single time it was shown.
I know all the words of all the songs from this. I love this version of the classic fairytale. It was so sweet. Best thing ever!
One of my favorites. So glad I was a kid when this aired on tv in the late 60’s. Every song and performance is a delight. We need more Joy in our world that things like this provide. Keep hoping and believing that the bastards will not win, and that we will live to sing and be free.
The '60s were an amazing time for costume design
I saw this version of Cinderella one time and it is as good as when Brandy was Cinderella nearly 20 years ago. Lesley Ann Warren is so beautiful
Manuel Orozco Lesley did it before Brandy and I agree she was beautiful and perfect for Cinderella!
jean onstad I knew that
Celeste holmes is gorgeous as a fairy
She IS ! When she appeared for the first time I was struck by her beauty and lovliness and I was even more impressed when she said why she was so lovely "I am made of all your most beautiful hopes and wishes."
My favorite Cinderella.
I wish I grew up with this as a kid, it's beautiful.
the BEST "Cinderella" ever,,,, we watched this every year back in the day,,,, so magical!!!
I have been looking for this movie for a long time and today I finally was gifted to find this song. I lOVE Cinderella movies.👸👸👸👸👸💗💖💖💖💖💖💖🥰
I have always loved this movie since it was made. Now I can buy it, awesome.
I love this made for tv Cinderella. I remember watching it I was 11 when it came out. Remember sitting in the floor. and watching Leslie thinking she was so beautiful. loved Pat Carroll as one of the 1/2 sisters lol. and I just ordered my own 1966 Rogers and Hammerstein Cinderella. I can't wait to watch it.
Wonderful. Classic optimistic lyrics from the masterful Oscar Hammerstein. It’s possible!
I have no idea how I saw this movie and I'm an 80s baby. I still sing to this day, "impossible, things are happening everyyydayy". I always thought it was some song from Mary Poppins.
Different songwriters
I looked forward to this every year during my childhood. It was my very favorite.
Loved this as a kid and still love it today!
After seeing this on tv when it came out, I bought the soundtrack and I pulled it out recently after seeing it again on cable. It's held up after all these years.😊😊
omggggg I watched this when I was little
I was a little ten year boy when I saw it , but oh how I loved it. Music and all.
I guess I'm a romantic and I offer no apologies for it.
Look how clear it is! I cannot wait to get my hands on this!
Juonithz Ramos Yes, it is much clearer than the previous version! Amazon has it for a very good price as the 50th Anniversary Edition.
the 50th anniversary edition was on sale when I saw Cinderella onstage in Costa Mesa direct from it's run on Broadway
I love that the dress and styling is so 60s. It’s very “Breakfast at Tiffany’s
I just saw this version of Cinderella on stage with a live orchestra. I sang every song just as I did the many times I watched this. Bravo, Roger’s and Hammerstein!
I nearly forgot just how beautiful Celeste Holmes was in her beautiful pink & silver gown.
This is the best version IMO.
Leslie Ann Warren doesn’t have the vocal chops of Julie Andrews or Brandy, but there’s something magical about her!
Ritz she portrays an innocence and enchanting personality that those ladies, as talented as they are, don’t have!
Ritz, Beautiful Leslie Ann Warren was the perfect Cinderella. She was beautiful and had a feminine voice. Julie Andrews and Brandy are ugly, and they do not have feminine voices.
She’s adorable!!!!
Laura Smith Look in the mirror with your ugly soul.
@@tequilashots875 , I am realistic, and I look good, and have a good soul. Julie and Brandy are ugly.
When I was younger my grandma used to watch this with me all the time. I love this movie so much.
By far the best Cinderella version. As other comments say as a kid I knew if I saw the Wizard of Oz, R & H's Cinderella was just around the corner. Reviews I've read put down the singing, but as a kid who grew up listening to Johnny Mathis, and now an adult, I heard nothing other than perfection, in tone and vibrato, in their singing. The production may not have been so grand, but all in all it stands the test of time.
Leslie Ann Warren was my First Crush with this movie. I was 7 years old. Nice to bring back those memories.
Leslie Anne Warren will always be Cinderella to me :)
+liwmld She really is the most memorable of all the Cinderella's.
me too!
kimberly Brandy is the Cinderella of my generation
She will always be Miss Scarlet to me.
Me too!
I love this dress better than any other Cinderella dress out there!
But both of them have horrible voices but I agree
Stacey Vermilyea, I love it too! Especially with Cinderella gloves, hence I call 'em that.
Stacey Vermilyea Her outfit and makeup alone invokes a bit of Audrey Hepburn, ehich says a lot about the 60s.
Great memories
I love Cinderella and I wish I could have her dress, it's beautiful 😍
Ahhh, childhood memories! I remember my sister and I would watch this on TV when my parents would put it on for us. The songs are so enchanting too! Such a simpler time. Thanks for posting it! BRAVO!
This is so beautiful...
Magic!
I must admit, without feeling like an old fool, that I love this show. I finally got to see the Julie Andrews version when it was released a few years back and have also seen the newer one starring Brandi and the Broadway version but this one has a special whimsical quality that I have always found very appealing. Leslie Ann Warren is so pretty here and Stuart Damon is perfect as the prince. Celeste Holm (the original Ado Annie in Oklahoma), is a class act, and the step-mother and step sisters also do a great job as do Ginger Rogers and Walter Pidgeon as the Queen and King.
I think the Julie Andrews version is the best
I watch this movie with my granddaughter. NO other movie version compares to the original.
Whenever I hear some say "Impossible!" in any movie, this scene comes to mind from back when I played the prince in this musical in high school 15+ years ago haha
I love it! I watched this when I was a little girl. I use to wish I was her!
This is the one I remember
I never realized she wore yellow stockings. I thought her feet and legs were bare.
As a child I was in love with Leslie Ann Warren. There just wasn't anyone as perfect as she was. Then again. I was four. She's still breath taking.
wow I am pretty upset at first when I heard my school was doing the Rodgers and Hammerstein one I thought we were doing the black version but now that I have seen this i am pretty sure this is the version we are doing so upset
I still love Leslie Ann Warren! Loved her in The Happiest Millionaire!
I just had this song come into my head the other day....I watched a lot of these old musicals circa 1930-1970 growing up, and I randomly remember them sometimes.
The later Brandy version is alright, but this is my favorite.
This is my Cinderella I grew up with
Oh I I loved that movie ❤
I just went to a high school play of this and all those songs I just knew the words to. I had forgotten about this version in the wake of all the Disney Cinderella. But this one was from when I was a child.
I loved this movie as a kid
Me too. Love this back then it was a big thing this storyteller with musical!
Best Cinderella ever
Omg, I forgot all about this. Thanks for the memories.
Watched this movie on CZcams yesterday! loved it!!!! and this song has been stuck in my head xD
Happy Mimi16 - where can I watch this movie on CZcams - cheers from Canada
I waited to watch this every year ❤️
This is the one I was eight years old when my mother took me to see this live play.
Lol at 9 years old Stuart damon was my first crush. I fell in love when he sang. I was awakened to music with this movie. I adored Leslie Ann Warren she was so beautiful
LOVE this version of Cinderella! Saw it many years ago when I was around 9 years old, my sister and I have watched it over and over! So glad it finally made it to DVD!!! =D
Im 28 and remember this version of Cinderella from my childhood before the one with brandy came out. No one else I know of could remember it lol.
Um you can barely remember the one with brandy from your childhood. You weren’t even born when this one came out.
I am 27 and have seen the Brandy version first then Julie Andrews then this one
This movie is magic! A bonus for me growing up was that my parents actually looked like Cinderella and the prince! (The prince especially, but my mom has high cheek bones.)
I love this movie ❤
I am so old, I only watched this in black and white -- I had no idea of the real colors until July 2024! It is like seeing it for the first time!!!
I remember me and my three brothers intently watched this when it originally aired.
256st..Loved this as kid....I remember the songs & it vividly and I was 5 - 61 this year dammmmmmmm
Leslie Ann Warren was only 19 there
my mom couldn't find the Disney animated one. so she got me the one on VHS. it became a favorite of my .
One of the best musicals from my childhood!! It is still wonderful today!! Love Rodgers and Hammerstein!!!
Cinderella introduced me to them
OMG the Cinderella is so pretty
Yessss I love it!!!!❤❤❤❤❤🥰🥰
MY CHILDHOOD
I taught my kids this song when toddlers.
I remember seeing this commerical on a kids dvd (Dragon Tales) and I always wondered which Cinderella movie it was because I wanted to see it, Finally I have found it!!!
I Tink anyone that was in our age group this Cinderella is our favorite, shoot my grown girlfriends all own the dvd.
Recently saw this version on Amazon video. It's ok, but I love the Brandy version more.
