That's right. The "prince charmings" somehow never seem that smart. This version at least shows some intelligence in the prince.
What I WISH is that he's, at least, given a name. "Hey you princie" just doesn't seem right. And so many look like the funny prince in a Looney Tunes cartoon, on a big horse, saying" Hansel? Hansel? I'm in the wrong cartoon!!"

1965 was the year I was born. I treasure this film as part of my idyllic childhood. The cast was perfect and the songs still bring tears to my eyes. Darling Leslie Ann Warren was a mere 18, and Stuart Damon was so young and handsome. Celeste Holm was an established star, just so beautiful. Thank you Rodgers & Hammerstein and CBS for this wonderful, magical production.

The very best and original Cinderella ever! The actors perform very convincingly and with ease. It's as if it is true life. Loved it from my childhood the first day I saw it and I am fifty-seven (57) years. Now that I found it I will be watching it often and make sure I learn every song to the stop. I can say sooo much more, but know that other 'Cinderella' can copy from it, but never replace it. Put it back on television, not only for Christmas, but for the children to see. The veery best and greatest!

Back in the mid sixties I was a 6 , perhaps 7 years old , and like most hyperactive boys , spent the entirety of most days , outdoors, in rough and tumble play . A poor Cuban immigrant , not interested in the arts .But for some reason , during one enchanted evening , someone turned on our black and white TV , and this Movie( Broadway play) was on . I gazed into those big beautiful dark expressive eyes, with her quivering lips, and heard that soft voice . The next day I woke up with an intense strange incomprehensible feeling toward this character , the likes of which I had never experienced before . My first crush was Leslie Ann Warren 's Cinderella . That first , magical , then incomprehensible feeling , never to be replicated again.

I never cared for Brandy's version. I admire the original 1957 production and the 1965 remake.

@@allenjones3130 I never seen the 1957; also there was no chemistry between Brandy and the prince

Best ever Cinderella that I ever saw. I want to buy it on DVD as I still watch many of my favorite movies that way....where do I get it? Leslie was the PERFECT Cinderella, despite my always thinking Cinderella was a blonde when I was growing up. Her grace and beauty unmatched. Of course, she was only 18 when they filmed this. I read somewhere she is 77 today. I'm sure as graceful and lovely as ever.

I like the 1957 version better although it is black and white nobody can play such a beautiful part as Cinderella other than the LEGENDARY Miss Julie Andrews !!!

One thing I have noticed, this version the fashion is more Medieval whereas in the other verions its more typical of the 18th or 19th century.

Fox just did Grease live on TV who wants to see Cinderella live on CBS (it first aired on that channel, it should air on there) with Ariana Grande as Cinderella and Audra McDonald as the fairy godmother
