This retelling of Cinderella may be missing the fairy-magic but is still full of glamour and enchantment. Leslie Caron captivates as a put-upon scullery step-sibling that gets the belle-of-the-ball transformation thanks to a grifter godmother (a sensational Estelle Winwood). Michael Wilding plays the princely one, the amazing Elsa Lanchester plays the wicked one and Keenan Wynn helps connive the ever-after. Charles Walters, the directorial magician behind Lili's magic, returns to lend his deft sleight of hand to this romantic fable.
Directed By Charles Walters
Starring Leslie Caron, Michael Wilding, Keenan Wynn

The fairy godmother is always different in every version of CINDERELLA, and always fun. This one is a riot!
The ever-wonderful Estelle Winwood!
@@katypuppylover I assume you're asking what the phrase, "a riot", means? It's just another way of saying someone or something is very funny or hilarious.
My absolutely favorite Cinderella movie ever. 🥰🥰
Estelle Winwood lived for another 30 years after this!
yes, she was 27 years old in 1955, but she looks much older
@@sinamor77 lol. No she wasn't! HAhaha! Rude.
Yeah, she made it to the Century Club. Honestly, I'm over halfway there and I cannot imagine going another half-century. I think 60-something, maybe 70ish is enough for me!
Cinderella in this one is cool love her short hair and loved the prince
And just the other day I was thinking how there is no chance any princes have a short haircut and I discover this Cinderella movie.
Ohhhh I want that dress😍😍 I'd dress like that everyday if I could lol
OlliDoll oh yes me tooo
I want that dress too, but I could never pull it off at my age. The glass slippers tho...
Leslie Caron looks marvelous.
The glass slipper is so beautiful, I wish there were replicas!!
Leslie Caron was so beautiful
Lovely Leslie! Love the dress and the short hair!
Estelle died at 101 in 1984.
This is by far my favorite Cinderella dress apart from Drew Berrymore's in Ever After 💙
This gown, the Ever After Dress and Leslie Ann Warren's ball gown are the best Cinderella gowns ever!!!!
Love this dress too.
I love Mrs Touquet's explanation of economics!
i like how in this version the glass slipper realy looks like glass. an fairy godmother like yah there glass made bye an glass artisan in italy so nochalonch like lol. an not super plastic lookn i wonder where hollywood git these slippers made for each version.
Ya gotta love Mrs. Touquet. She gives off the appearance of being a loopy old lady with sticky fingers.
I watched this movie many many times growing up.. so magical !!!
I love that dress it’s so beautiful and marvelous. Rose is my middle name. Such a wonderful dress. I would like to wear one like that for my wedding 🥰
Sounds beautiful!

Why do I only find out about this NOW?!?!? Freaking 2018 ya all!!! I’m so late as usual!!!😭😭😭
Those skirts are fantastic! I love the slippers too.
Me too! The gown transformation and the contrast from the other ball gowns are my favorite parts of Cinderella :)
Estelle Winwood,, the old Lady...wow
What a Gown and Sippers! 😍😍😍😍😍
My all time favorite movie
Estelle Winwood giganteggia come al solito!!
she is beautiful
I love her dress❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
E' un peccato che Estelle non abbia mai ricevuto un premio..un'Attrice che ha iniziato nel 1903 e che a New York si prese gli applausi di tutti..
Look how feminine she looked even with a boycut
I LOVE this movie. And I have it :)
I'm reading director Charles Walters' biography and am reminded of two of his movies starring Caron, this and Lili, that had special broadcasts when I was growing up...maybe the late 60's or very early 70's. Definitely recall a scene in the woods between Caron and Winwood. Need to track down a full version of each to watch.
yes of course
Ironically women wear crazy stuff because they love it & how it looks for themselves too. Never forget that. 😉
True! Most men actually don't pay all that much attention to what women are wearing, certainly not to the finer points (such as whether your red shoes are the exact same shade as your dress or not)...which almost makes you wonder why we bother putting so much effort into it, since the ostensible reason why we do it is to make ourselves more attractive to them! When a man pays attention to what a woman's wearing, he's most likely either trying to figure out how he could take it off her (assuming that she's agreeable) or at least how he can persuade her to take it off for him!
Onde assistir? Onde comprar?
I’ve never heard of this movie!
You can watch it at Dailymotion, I recently discovered it and it's amazing

I’m surprised she didn’t took one of her sisters dresses from the closet or cabinet since she was getting dressed in her sisters room
I don't care what anyone says, Victorian dresses like that one are beautiful.
Invented by the devil ha. Hey if it’s pretty it’s painful
Where is Fairy God mother
I think at the end theres a nod to the old lady actually being magical
Ickey poo.
This is yet another version of that pathetic story of Rhodopis & some lonely old royal dude. What if the stupid girl was crippled and gangstalked? Would he still like her?
