Very 1st Team Roping or any Roping Lesson! Before you start roping you NEED to know the parts of the rope, hold, feed, swing a rope and the terminology.
Hi there. City boy here, new to the south. Just got my first rope and dummy. EXCELLENT video and instruction. Exactly what I needed. Thank you. Looking forward to more….👍🏻
quick question. I'm a working hand, but hit the practice pen occasionally. I can feed pretty well, but once I feed my loop, I have a hard time recovering the rope back out of my loop if I have to stop swinging. For example, if I line out a calf and get to where I'm about to throw, sometimes the calf will plant or cut hard and I have to regroup and try again, or maybe there's a tree in the way, etc. When on the ground, I can recover rope out of my loop by yanking it quick with my coil hand, but that doesn't work with reins in the coil hand. Could you make a quick video on this or at least give me some tips?
If you where a clock, at what time would you feed the rope? And where would your thumb be pointing when you do?? - Sometimes I feed and It explodes out of my hands and I can’t figure out if I’m feeding too soon, too late, too much or just need more finesse in my palm. You have the best instructional vids . ThX!!
Hello just wondering what rope is good to get started with or should I spend the money and get a really good rope and have it for a while? Do any brands come to mind for a good rope or the best ropes. Thank you
Sadly they don't seem concerned about answering questions... One guy sent a question a year ago and no reply..! Not good Shows they only want fame and not help others
I recommend investing around $50 into a new rope. Nylon fiber ropes with an extra softness or extra extra softness is best for beginners and brands like Classic and Rattler offer these in many different styles. Hope this helps.
I apologize, I have a young family of 2 and have turned into a hermit horse trainer lol, but I hope to continue to help out with more videos this summer

I know I’m not the only one who is grateful that you are kind enough to take time out of your busy lives to post free content. Anyone who thinks otherwise can go pay for more technical lessons if they choose, or can keep working it out in the practice pen. Keep up the great work and thank you for the information you’ve provided in this video!

I needed this video.. I’m 25 and just now learning how to rope.. Don’t have NFR Dreams but definitely want to compete in jackpots…
How do you find jackpots to get into
I’m late to all this. I’m 25 and wanting to get into all of this now too. How’s things been going for you 2 years later??
I’m just getting into ranching at 48. Thanks for this video series. It really made my first throw at a dummy look good😎
The rope between your hands is called… the rope between your hands 😂😂😂 I love your instruction style already
I’m gonna call it the “mid rope”

Just bought a extra soft gt4 rope watching these before I even get it in the mail and will watch again when I have it. Thanks!
I hope nobody took the thumb down instruction too literally. Great video.
Great info for those of us just learning. Thanks so much!
Awesome lesson!! From Nevada

Awesome, Hunter Quinn background music from the Rambles album
Great job explaining the starting process. Thank you!!
How do you keep the spoke from jumping to the right side of the hondo knot when feeding?
best video
Thanks for explanation having a little trouble feeding
Sorry no one replied bro...
Thats so ignorant of them
So I’m still new at this, but I was told that the spoke should be on the right side of the hundo knot. May I ask why it should be on the left?
I’m over 50 and I would love to learn. I’m in cattle country

Can we see the rope you bought in the box? So we can buy the same rope?
Great lesson

Advice on getting faster spin on rope
I’ll give Jerry Michelark’s advice for shooting… go slow really fast.
How do we email you?
Who else came here after watching Yellowstone?
ive never seen anyone win because they fed their loop, but ive seen a lot lost because they fed there loop, jmo
Wait what if you’re left handed
What material is that? Can that be called a rope? I mean, it’s way too stiff.
It is a nylon fiber rope and almost all professionals use them. They come in different softness for preference and what level you're at.
Is the correct pronunciation Hon-dew or Hon-doe? Or it can be said either way? Yeah, I know it's a dumb question.
i'm pretty sure it's "hondoe"
Or hone doe? @@ryansmith3369
