- A compact ultrasonic cleaner is typically used to clean small items such as small jewelry or denture/retainer/sleep apnea appliances. Can it be used to clean a watch? Yes it can and the video is the proof. Pardon the dirty water which was the result of cleaning the watch which is not easy to clean thoroughly using other methods. A diver's watch such as this one can be submerged entirely under water. If it's a non-diver's watch, the band can be submerged in water and leave the body above water by holding it.

I thought you’re not supposed to put a fully assembled watch into an ultrasonic cleaner ?????
It has to be a diver's watch.
@@iSonicIncDatejust isn't a dive watch
Date just isn’t a diving watch
Wouldnt this mess up the watch and the accuracy of the watch.
We have no customers complained about their watches not working after cleaning.
@@iSonicInc may have to do a review on this for my channel.
it can also destroy the ar coating
@@yaakovhassoun8965 If that happens, you can get a new watch from the watch maker.:) Our customers clean tens of thousands of eyeglasses with coatings. I personally have been cleaning my own and same pair of eyeglasses for over 10 years. It has several coatings. No damages. The coating quality is the No.1 issue. If it has a poor quality coating, then do do it in an ultrasonic cleaner. The second important thing is to use a proper and good solution. iSonic ultrasonic jewelry and eyewear cleaning solution concentrate is gentle yet very effective. It works on both jewelry and eyeglasses. Most jewelry cleaning solutions would be too harsh for eyeglasses.
Were you talking about AR coating on eyeglasses? Whether coating could be destroyed depending on the coating quality. If it's coating with solid quality then there is no problem when used with a proper solution such as iSonic Jewelry/Eye Wear Cleaning Solution Concentrate #CSGJ01. To share a personal experience, I've been cleaning my own eyeglasses with multiple coatings on them for about 10 years using iSonic ultrasonic cleaners and solution, and I have no problem.
This is begging to mess up the movement. Please never do this again. Remove the movement and then do this.
The watch has to be a diver's watch otherwise it can't be cleaned like this. We have cleaned many diver's watches this way and no customers had reported problems.
This Datejust has an Oyster case with 100m of water resistance. Twin lock crown. So, not true.
@@Explorer40mm What's not true? Thanks.
@@iSonicInc the part about the watch having to be a dive watch to be cleaned like this. It doesn’t have to be a dive watch, it just has to have water resistance as this watch in the video has.
@@Explorer40mm 100 meters qualify it as a diver's watch. Water resistant is a loose term. Some water resistant watches may not be good enough to be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. Rolex is modest or not wanting to be liable to call it water resistant, I think. Thanks for your input.
