The plan and execution of g4 and f3 is the greatest example of "clearence" I've ever seen.
Great game, great commentary
Dunblas: I am not sure I understand your suggestions,( at 7.56 ) but if you meen that White can take the Queen, you are missing the following move from Black: 1.Qxd6?! - Bxb2+.2.Kb1 - Be3+.3.Kc2 - Rg2+.4.Kc1 - Bb2+ and the game ends with a Draw. Ore 3.Kc1 - Bb2. and Black is able to hold the Draw as well. So the moves that White play´s are very well play... :))
There's something about this opening that I love. I've been playing it for about two years now and it's really great to see Larsen himself have such a beautiful game with opening named after him. Thanks for the vid KC, keep up the good work!
Very enjoyable game! Some really nice/clever moves here! I like the link to the English Opening; might be worth checking out later!
Great vid! It's nice to have a understanding of this attack.
That was beautiful and tricky. Masterful attack. Just closed up the center, then slid towards and shot up the flank.
another awesome video, thanks.
Beautiful game! That making way for the queen to scoot over onto the fast lane heading to the opponent king's cozy cove was quite something. I'm starting to put more emphasis on the tempo in my own games, and surely that makes them more dynamic and action-filled, but the results are mixed and I can't claim to always knowing what I'm doing :)
And the game clinching combination: sacking the knight and leaving the king on the bishop's diagonal? -- a perfect thriller!
Thanks KC :)
I like to use this opening but I never knew you could be so creative with it
the Qxd6 variation at 7:56 is actually pritty nice, to bad you skipped it
This game is very good
Great Game
The right pronunciation of "fianchetto" is [fjan´ ketto] with the CH of CHianti and not the one in CHeese (and do not forget the the double T at the end) :)
Words have different pronunciations in different languages, dialects, etc. You are correct if you happen to be in Italy, however there is a standard English pronunciation (see OED) with a hard ch, as in chips.
Wishing to give us more about Larsen opening b3
