the Bb4+ line looks pretty great for black, its a safe pawn up with slim losing risk and just all the possibilities are for white to screw up and lose. Would be a lovely possition to have from the opening especially with the black pieces.
(edit) : Yes it seems you are right with correct play - it is drawn according to tablebase. Good point.
Please add this video to your favourites if you like it. Cheers, K
At around 20:30 , after Bb2, just a side note: Bd4 almost works, but fails to Qxb7+ Kxb7 Bxf3 Bxf3+ Kb1 and white will win g7 soon and the game. Other than that, really nice game and great commentary as always.
this time you really simplified it to an end game:)
KC, few games before you showed us your losses with blunders, ... well this game was in its mood, I think you should be happy, because this was like an equalization for the blunders in past, you won cause you didnt crack so much in the end and he happen'd to make it your way with his terrible blunders, he probably feels bad like you did - but hey here's a place to learn of mistakes! Bless you both! Have a nice round 6 KC!
Great vid as always! One thing I would love to see is you and chessnetwork play a rapid game where both of you commentate and we can learn about both of your perspectives to the match. I find that both of you have the most intelligent and applicable chess videos on youtube. Bravo and keep up the good work!
The R ending with RP and BP is a theoretical draw even two pawns down.
Just engine checked this, and apparently after getting the white king to b1, the black king coming to d2 and queening the c-pawn is crushing! didn't see that!
33:32: Wouldn't Rb2 have been absolutely crushing here?
The draw was when you played 70. ... Rh1+ and 72. Rg8 is a draw but anything else would make him lose. 74. ... Rb5 is a draw. 78. ... Rb8 is a draw, but 78. Ka4 was a blunder. Only 78. ... Rb1 or Rc5 would have won. 80. Ka3 would have drawn, but anything else would have lost.
Maybe Ruben Fine's Chess Ending's would be worth a study!? Love the vids I agree with dprimetime.....KingCrusher vs ChessNetwork (Jerry) would be a great game!
27:55 the computer seems to like rook b2 check, and that looks quite scary for white. Don't know if you'll cover that, I'm posting this as I'm watching it.
Yup, saw the same move. I think it is crushing for white as the king can never get off the back rank. Black can play c3 when allowed so both pawns are supporting the rook and it can always use the pawn on c4 (later, c3) to pivot around so there is no perpetual check for white. Also, if white exchanges the rooks, black always ends with an extra pawn I think.
I think 5.Ne2 is correct instead of 5.d4
Chessbase rocks. Great interface.
whoops, there's also just Qxd4+
Actually, the engine has changed it's mind. Horizontal checks might save white after all! Does anyone know what is the truth??
as a sort-of beginner, I can say engines are bullshit. This is because they see moves you don't, so it doesn't matter.
Why do you play Bd6? it stops your d pawn and causes troubles for your devellopment
king crusher sir can u help me with my chess i need some? plsssssssssssssssss
Never analyse endgames with an enging, thats my rule of thumb.
please stop with all the engine nonsense. its ruining your creativity in my opinion. ill always watch ur chess videos either way, with or without engine analysis. but i would much prefer watching ur videos WITHOUT ANY ENGINE ASSISTANCE. thanks
