I've been through specialized Close Quarter Battle training, security guard training, subterranean warfare course, urban surveillance training, foreign weapons training, helicopter insert/extract master, as well as numerous training with other militaries and their equipment.

There are multiple types of SOF units in Ukraine. First of all, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have a Special Operation Forces (in Ukrainian - Сили Спеціальний Операцій - ССО) command, which before 2022 had several regiments. I don't know the current situation, but probably now, it includes several brigades. Each law enforcement agency (like SBU - National Security Service, HUR - Main Intelligence Directorate, and several others) has dedicated SOF units. In the case of SBU, it's "Alfa," which is considered the best among Ukrainian SOF units (again, at least that was before 2022).
I also have a little comment on the term "the Ukraine war." Most Ukrainians would prefer if foreigners used the term "Russo-Ukrainian war", because it clearly names both sides and emphasizes who started the war (the country that started a war traditionally is mentioned first).

Jedino sto je bilo civilno u tome, je sto su agresorsko genocidni srbi dosli u nasu drzavu ubijati civile. Za nas je to bio i uvijek ce biti "domovinski rat". Bez naoruzanja, smo se obranili i pobjedili i oslobodili nasu drzavu, od tada trece vojne sile u europi i sa tim da smo drzava koja ima manje od 4 miliona ljudi. Uvijek ce na kraju pobijediti onaj tko brani svoje, onaj tko zna da su iza njega njegova djeca i obitelj i ako izgubis, agresor ce ti ubiti obitelj. Zato mi hrvati izuzetno znamo za sto se ukrajina bori. Isto tako smo za pomoc ukrajini, jer nama nitko nije pomogao, cak smo imali i embargo na kupovinu naoruzanja. Doslovno smo na pocetku imali samo lovacke puske, dok nismo kroz borbu "vratili mali dio naoruzanja, sto su nam srbi ukrali". Rijetko tko zna, sto ukrajina prolazi, mi hrvati znamo i znamo kako je ukrajina bila medju prvima, a mozda i prva drzava koja nas je priznala, tako i mi ukrajinu. Dosta hrvata se bori u ukrajini jos od 2014 godine, na ukrajinskoj strani (strani pravde). Tako isto vidimo kako agresori na hrvatsku, se bore na strani rusije protiv ukrajine, a to su genocidni srbi.
In the Ukrainian special operations forces, these are units of the 3rd regiment SOF, 8th regiment SOF, 73rd naval center SOF and 140th center SOF.
In the Security service of Ukraine, the Center for special operations to combat terrorizm A (CSO Alpha).
In the Defence Intelligence Ukraine, the main combat missions anywhere in the world are carried out by the 10th detachment Defence Intelligence Ukraine.
As I understand it, the interview was given by a fighter from TIMUR, one of the special forces units strategic level of the main Defence Intelligence Ukraine. The KRAKEN, as I understand it, the special forces unit is more than a tactical level Defence Intelligence Ukraine.

The Ukraine special forces are the most modern warfare experienced warriors today.
American special operation forces are much better. They are still being used even if we are not openly at war with a country. Our special operations community isn’t recording missions and making a highlight video.

It's an interesting reflection on carrying pouches on the back. In the Swedish army, i was trained to carry a mag pouch, "upside down", behind one shoulder. The idea is what you were talking about, being able to grab a quick reload from the dude in front, but i was about as far from SF as you could get :D

Different branches of the military have their own special forces. Prior to the full scale invasion GUR had only several special operations units consisting exclusively of officers; now GUR has a lot more combat units. Armed Forces have their own special forces - the Special Operations Forces (similar to the US Green Berets while the 73rd Maritime Centre is similar to Navy SEALs). The National Guard of Ukraine has the Omega Special Operations Center. The Security Service of Ukraine has "Alfa" Special Operations Center which are considered one of the most elite special operations forces in Ukraine. The Border Guard has the Dozor unit (they actually celebrate their 22 birthday today). And many-many other units, some of which may be secret and unknown to the general public. Hope that this information proves to be useful!
I really appreciate him saying what he said at 15:36 cause I was just thinking this when they said that if they got made or spotted at all they would retreat (Of course cause you don't spend valuable special forces like that) but the average infantry man in the army doesn't have that kind of leisure, they'll have to hold their ground.

I don't know how long ago they made this video but I've seen a bunch of videos from Sudan and I think it's been verified Ukraine does have special forces in Sudan and are teaching them how to use drone drops and FPVs.
I'm also 99% sure I saw a comparison video from Sudan. It starts with a video of Sudanese fighting Wagner very haphazardly. Then it shows a video from the present after receiving training and drones from Ukraine and they are very successful now.
Well absolutely. They would be stupid to not try to eliminate Russia and Wagner right now while also getting your foot in to Africa when Russia inevitably falls and all Russian assets will disappear Africa, and Ukraine and France are Jostling to be the next superpower to own Africa. I believe one of the only reason that France is being so aggressive with their support for Ukraine. Having a new partner who already speaks the language has a massive amount of untouched natural gas deposits in Eastern Ukraine, (Funny how Russia really wants just those Oblasts) and would make untold amounts of money and natural resources from Africa.
Ukraine could rebuild in a few short years instead of decades, has the top drone R&D and deployment industry for war use and cinematic applications, especially with film crews coming to want to make Ukraine war movies, I can go on. It would be incredibly stupid for other NATO nations or other countries NOT start moving their support to France and Ukraine and get a piece of that pie!

2nd comment: As far as the AFU Spe Ops in Sudan taking down "people", this is now a well known set of operations not secret anymore. It goes as follow:
The Sunanese Govt has a bot load of older soviet-style 152mm and they are now selling them to Ukraine. In exchange, their Govt wanted a force able to take care of the wger-supported groups there.
In France, anyone closely following the conflict in Ukraine understand that.
The AFU's Spe-Ops are currently one of the best for when it is time to work with drones whiles using NATO intelligence.
The Sudanese Govt wants that in exchange for a quarter of a Mil shells.

In fact, if you want to start to understand the conflict in Ukraine (at least from here in Poland / France), then you have to look at simple things like this:
- How come a basic US-made truck like the M939 made for simple but important logistics and transport are now in Ukraine? All while not a single country (including the US) mentioned that? Well the answer is simple:
While russia is working with iran and north korea, Ukraine has access to so much more.
So for that M939 truck? Well it may come from the USA. But also from South Korea (also produced). Or maybe from another country? Like...
Officially? The answer is "no country has officially delivered this type of truck to the Ukrainian Forces, and the question of their origin remains unresolved".
When russia is happy to get artillery shells from North Korea (50% of them duds), Ukraine must wait, yes... But they wait for the good stuff.
In PL? We keep our mouth shut as to what passes by. Case in point? when was the last time you say a phone camera from the port in Gdansk or from a train in Rzeszów?

Special units belong to the "command of no one" these are groups that act under the HUR, but at the same time they are independent and act according to themselves.
There is SF and SOF outside of GUR (Ukranian Intelligency Agency)

There are multiple SOF groups. Gur often works with other groups or byitself, it will task people to other groups etc. SBU Alfa, the center, 73rd, the shamans, lots has changed since 2022. Kraken was Azov Kharkiv sof which were national guard. Firmer MVD and border guards teams all have roles and often crossover.

SOF - special forces of armed forces under army command (like green berets, delta or seals).
GUR - general reconnaissance units (more like CIA) - under Budanov’s command.
Also 3rd brigade is part of SOF (army)
Azov - special forces of national guard.

The Ukrainian arm force has several SOF regiment like the 3rd, 8th,9th, the 73rd naval center and some other less knowed scout regiments.
The National guard also have SOF units like Omega and Azov 12th Brigade
The GUR have more than a dozen Units like Artan, Tymur or Kraken. Different in size and purpose. Kraken and other units are more like a Frontline unit with hundreds of soldiers each while others specialized in Behind enemy lines having several dozens troops
The Interior Agency SBU as the Alpha SOF and other top secrets units.
The border guards also have 1 SOF units called Dozor.
The Omega, Azov, CSO A, Artan, Timur, Kraken, and even the 10th detachment of the Defence Intelligence, and especially the Dozor, have nothing to do with the Special Operations Forces. The above special units have completely different tasks.
Doesn't this guy know you have to leave all your hardware behind. Shits too expensive to bring home. Plus if you have to walk a long way. It makes more since to just leave it. Better than carrying that weight around! DUH!

The Defence Intelligence (GUR) is subordinate to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as are the SOF UA.
The Security service of Ukraine reports directly to the President, just like the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine
