Arteta is 3rd , stop it.....What he has done at Arsenal as a manager with no prior managerial experience or stints is nothing short of phenomenal and the reason some people don't rate him is because of 1) They can't stand Arsenal fans 2) They hate Arsenal 3) They find him arrogant and unlikable for whatever reason.
My conclusion is that any manager with such inexperience, in a high pressure job where fans can get you sacked, who has the ability to develop and coach a team that is capable of challenging Manchester City and Klopp's Liverpool at the top of the table has to be given more respect. Emery currently cannot be 3rd best when statistically Arsenal have gotten more points than any other team bar City and Liverpool in the last 3 years. He hasn't won anything yet yes but there is nothing that suggests that Arsenal won't go on to win any trophies because they just keep on improving in some aspect of their game every single season.
Deep it, The guy's aim is to win the league and to do it he has to get his side to amass 90 plus points and before falling off last season in the last 8 games Arsenal were heading straight for 90 plus points based on their win percentage. It's actually mad.

He changed the culture, got rid of a toxic dressing room, restructured the wages, had a style of play. Not to mention WITH THE SAME clowns Emery had he beat City, Liverpool & Chelsea to win the FA Cup in his FIRST EVER mangerial job. 11th > 8th > 8th > 5th and now they are one of the best teams itw. Top of the league, top of their UCL group with one of the YOUNGEST teams itw. Arsenal have the most valuble squad ite according to tranfermrkt. The disrespect is mindblowing, no doubt if hes name was Michael Anthony from Manchester he would be lauded as the next best thing since sliced bread. I actually agree with Adam, I think Emery has shown now on more than one occasion that he's just not suited to the biggest jobs, he's had a lot of success but generally it's at clubs with lower expectations and in teams he's allowed more control over, at both Arsenal and PSG we saw that he wasn't given the same authority as he has been at his other clubs.
I still think he's the third best manager in the league on achievements personally, but that doesn't mean he'd be the right fit at every club.

A Chelsea fan, United fan, and City fan are discussing managers, do you think they’ll have kind words for Arsenal’s Manager?
United: Arteta flipped Arsenal around the way that United fans are hoping Ten Hag will. When Arteta came in, Arsenal were well below United. Arsenal are thriving while United implode.
Chelsea: When Boehly bought Chelsea he wanted to appoint a long term manager. Everyone thought that was going to be Tuchel. When he didn’t work, they turned to Potter, when they saw how well Arteta was doing at Arsenal the every went back to Lampard hoping to replicate the same. Now they are hoping Poch can do what Arteta has done and flip Chelsea around, get the fans buzzing, establish a playing style, and stay there long term.
City: Buvey has a fragile ego with an inferiority complex. He is a city fan because he doesn’t have to worry about any long History to memorize and he gets to clown on other fans because his team is just far superior to almost every other team in the world. City are guaranteed to win the EPL almost every season. Even though Liverpool have been pushing City for the past few years, currently he is more threatened by Arteta and his fragile ego can’t cope with the possibility of City, with unlimited funding, an established squad, and the best manager in the world, losing to Arteta who is the youngest manager in the league in his first job. If Arteta is at some point finally able to beat Pep and City, it will hurt Buvey so much more than Klopp doing it because Klopp is understood to be a top manager.
United and Chelsea want what Arsenal have. City fans are just egotistical and Arteta beating them would kill them.

You have to remember Arteta (and Emery to be completely fair to him) joined arsenal while it was horrible and toxic with mercenaries at the club that didn't play for the badge; We had basically fallen so far from grace into obscurity that people was suggesting we would remain a mid table club for the foreseeable future. The culture at the club made it so you couldn't do an overhaul in one season where you buy 1 winger for £100M (Anthony) and a proven CDM (casemiro) while already having players like Ronaldo, Varane, Bruno, Sancho etc. Arteta essentially built the current arsenal squad from the ground up and is now challenging some of the greatest managers the prem has ever seen all while being the youngest manager (he's only been a manager for 4 years at one of the biggest clubs in the world having to handle all the pressure and scrutiny that comes with it and is now challenging managers with far more years of experience) with one of the youngest squads. yes its all just potential at this stage but I believe in the next 5 years Arteta will be one of the Top 10 managers in the world. Also people are very disingenuous about Artetas first season; when he took over, arsenal had just been slapped by City in what was basically a training match and sat in about 12 in the table. He felt so much pain for the club he clearly loves sitting in the opposition dugout next to pep that he had to come and drag us up to 8th and managed to win the FA cup. Then started the actual rebuild in his first full season and maintained the position and has literally gone onwards and upwards since.

I think the perspective with Arteta is wrong. Arsenal is his first ever management job, won the FA cup in his first ever half a season managing, completely transformed the club culture and philosophy and has showed rapid growth going from 8th to 8th to 5th to back to back title challenges
He’s done all this in 4 years and is being compared to established managers who’ve been doing this for 1-2 decades

Unai had a new manager bounce when he came, we went on an incredible run playing counter attacking football but letting in goals for fun hence he lost his job. We went on a terrible run of form when the players got bored of his tactics and it just wasn’t working. Unai is more of a cup competition coach. If he was that great why didn’t he win the league in La Liga where he spent most of his career? He won a title at PSG why haven’t anyone on the panel mentioned that? He also had them playing a brand of football that had Mbappe and Neymar no longer love what they do. He eventually lost that dressing room then he came to Arsenal then he failed. He’s a mid table coach and can’t get a big job where he has immense pressure. He works better when he’s relaxed and have none superstars playing for him. That’s a fact.. Don’t forget.. Areta has just started his coaching career, and already in his first 200 games is the most successful coach this far in Arsenal’s history. Don’t sleep on that… All these coaches we comparing to Arteta has had YEARS of coaching, Areta has only gone 4yrs. And have already won a cup.

Mikel Arteta was appointed the Arsenal manager on the 20th of December. Rory loves to say Arteta achieved back to back 8th place finishes in his first two years. Well wait a minute, half the season of the 19/20 (Mike'ls first season) Emery was in charge. That 8th place finish, is just as much Emery's doing, as it was Arteta.

Don Unai is a good manager, and did quite well in his first season with 5th and EL final. But then, oh boy. The downwards spiral was nothing like I've ever seen before.
I still rate him as a manager due to his personality, but more for subtop clubs. He's the perfect manager for those kind of teams. I'm really glad that he's doing so well at Villa. Don't think he will stear them into CL but a proper top 6 spot should be possible.
Pep and Klopp are clear, both legends of the game. Arteta completes the podium. Yes, his first full season was bad with 8th spot. But in hindsight: he had to clear a lot. Internal issues etc. From that, it only went upwards. Emery and Howe are 4th and 5th.

I think head to head matchups Klopp does better however Pep is fantastic with tactical changes throughout a full season. I think Pep almost over thinks his tactics at time because he’s so analytical. A big part of the manager's success is to marry their preferred system with the player's skill set and get the players to believe this union will work. Unai Emery has proven at multiple stops now, that if the players will buy what he's selling, he can turn them into a force. He has elevated Konsa, Ramsey, McGinn, Dougie L, and Watkins from career players on a mid-level PL team, to actual studs on a CL-competing powerhouse.
