Ozil contrary to popular belief approached Wenger for a move to Arsenal . He came to us for a walk in the park knowing Wenger would never point finger at him. Noticeably he has been giving it his all since Arteta took over but he does not have the prowess of his heydays anymore. Lets hope he stays motivated and recaptures some of his best ability one last time next season.

Ozil has been wasted at Arsenal, football is a team game, you are only as good as the players around you. For the past 7 seasons we have all been pleading for the owners to buy players to fill positions and every season they sell one position to fill another, Arsenal have never had a complete 11 of top quality over that time and to compare against Real Madrid and Man City who both buy the best players available for all positions and have had enough quality to put out 2 starting 11 teams each every week is ludicrous. I agree Ozil could try harder at times but so can the owners. In Ozils time at Arsenal he’s seen the team go from having the best defence in the league with one of the worst attacks to now where Arsenal have a potent attack with one of the worst defences, at no point in Ozils Arsenal career has he been in a team that can ever be compared to a Real Madrid or Man City B team never mind their 1st choice 11. Lee, you can’t take facts here and there to suit your argument, look at the situation as a whole and you will see Ozil has been wasted.
Your argument is flawed though, because if Ozil was really a good number 10, he would've been able to supply that potent attack consistently, because that is what a number 10 is meant to do. Yet, he can't even competently supply a potent attack, so that shows you how useless he is. Lee is 100% right, Mesut Ozil has been trash for years.

Bruno Fernandez is at this point a better player than Ozil. But Ozil at the same age was levels above him. And to say he's been bang average since he arrived at arsenal is just not right. As soon as we came in he contributed to the team and helped us win 3 FA cups along with the rest of the team.
