I can't wait until navigation is projected onto the roads in front of us using this tech (on our windshield). So many possibilities, and even more when autonomous vehicles are truly commonplace.
I can see it now. This would be so good on like a space cockpit where you would have like windows looking outside and then the inviscreen would be like a monitor so you can still see outside but you also get to be productive. But not like an actual spaceship.
Will be ordering this glass for a projection mapping project at a video game bar here in the US. So great job at promotion! Also what software do you use to utilize the Microsoft connect input on OS X?
hello think the solutions are really cool i'm putting together a similar project here in brazil i would like tips on what film to use to make these types of holography thanks
Thanks for the review. From my point of view the most important question that has not been part of the video is how can you project images and AR on glass using this "film" without getting blinded by the reflection of the beamer? Is there a way to hide that beamer light or use mirrors at a certain angle to avoid that to happen?
Great video, Philipp. You gave a good amount of info on its uses in a restaurant setting but I was wondering about its uses in a theater setting. Do you think that I could use this type of glass in a house set and use a projector to display fake scenery or people behind it? If you have any ideas for different uses of this please leave a comment. This glass seems like a very versatile piece of technology and I would love to see more applications of this.
I guess there are many uses in a theatre too. It's not so much for hologram like effects. But whenever there is glass on stage that needs projections this might be a good adon.
Is this glass or vinyl in nature? Do you make this big enough that I can suction cup a large pane on the inside of the rear window of my vehicle? I would like a transparent or frosted version for projecting ads from inside my car.
There are different films for different applications. Front or rear projection. But as far as I know they now only sell one kind that kinda works both ways.
Well it helps for deepfield Inspiration... so Esa has to bring out 8k or 16k Resolution for the James Web Videos of the Virgo Cluster ( i guess there is ET ... on Kepler 90 they need a lot more time to come but i guess they like the ressources 🤔 ) and other cool cluster and in the end the hole universe and maybe one Day the multiverse ... i have one over my bed next i try 1900 px ( Bluerayplayer 3D with the Movie Passenger ) 😍 Lets find out how the double screen Makes fun 😁
It goes through. Yes. Depending on the situation a wide angle might be nice because the light that goes through is being spread over a wide area losing its intensity.
Jeeez, ;] Well I guess, as long as the light situation outside is dark enough. But isn't there an opaque film on the back windows of those vehicles anyways? That might be a good rear projection surface.
@espirituhuntress6664 I'm on a search myself. I saw some really interesting material on vitrines in stuttgart. The owner said, it was from a solarium supplier. They offer film with an adhesive for glass that is see through from one angle and completely opaque from another.
@@philipp7pc heheh, no, I was referring to this clip, minute 7:23. I'm spanish so I can detect a tortilla from miles away. The question is, con cebolla o sin cebolla?
Yes, for the test I used pieces that were on plexi. It depends on what situation you use it. If it's not in a theatre or around people real glass might be the cheapest.
Never stop doing this Philip, for me the one of the best vlogger in CZcams

The HUDs in modern fighter jets do exactly that.
You want a HUD that you don’t need because the vehicle is autonomous?
yeah I was wondering how it would work if I wanted the projection to be coming from a Nightvision device and displayed on a big glass screen
is it the glass '' inviscreen '' the allows projection or could any Plexiglas or glass work ?
i love it
It's actually an adhesive film that you can apply to any glass or acrylic.
I just found your channel and it's great Phillip ! I always drew stages as a kid haha, I would love to do stage design too
Love it thanks for uploading
I need this!! I have the perfect project in mind 😌 ☺️ ✨️

The masking tape has better gain tho. The corners look bright.

Im about to do a similar sounding installation for a GameStop location! Could I pick your brain sometime??
love your vlogs!
so helpful, thanks you and love from india :)
It would look cool if it was used as a tv. A projector would hide in a room and point at the glass, or maybe as a decoration.
I like your idea. How about the projector heating if we hide as decoration ?
Or loop segments of your real workforce doing what they would normally be doing just earlier.

You might have to avoid this by projecting from an angle that avoids the eye level and then correct for the distort.
Awesome! Does the projected image goes through the film and lays on the wall or any surface opposite to the projector?
Yes. It goes through.
Trying to buy at their official website but they don't even respond. Is this available at amazon? Or somewhere else?
That's unusual. DM me Your Mail contact and request and I'll pass it on to my contacts there.
awesome, thank you

Philips gives the Gerriets website in his video description. Yes you can. Have a look!
nice idea
Great info......

I would like a transparent or frosted version for projecting ads from inside my car.
It's like a vinyl film that then sticks to the glass.
Careful though with the adverts - depending on You local laws. ;]
Where can I get a small sample of this material?
Hi. Thanks for watching.
I would suggest asking Your local representative of gerriets.com
Is the pane directional, in that does it need to be oriented to the projector being above or below the projection angle?

What kind of projector works best with this. Also it also probably goes through correct
It goes through. Yes.

What is the name of this? Is it at Gerriets?
Hey Florian. Find it here www.gerriets.com/de/volle-transparenz-mit-inviscreen-neue-hochtransparente-glas-und-fensterprojektionsfolie/
Would this work on the back glass of my hearse/funeral car?

@@philipp7pc not on mine but I could rig one up to take down easily. Any suggestions on materials?

Is that a "tortilla de patata"?? did you cook it yourself? it looks great if it is indeed a tortilla!!!!
I reeeeally hope You're referring to a different clip. But yes, cierto. Es una tortilla de patata. ;]
Eso es la receta czcams.com/video/VM3IlqV1qE8/video.html
@@philipp7pc heheh, no, I was referring to this clip, minute 7:23. I'm spanish so I can detect a tortilla from miles away. The question is, con cebolla o sin cebolla?
Si. Lo vi. Increíble. Tres Frames.
En ese caso con cebolla.
Can the glass be custom made to spec, and how strong is it?
The inviscreen itself is a film that can be attached to almost any kind of glass.
Is it possible from alta throw projector
Shot throw? Also works - with the usual restrictions.
Very cool~
Not available anymore?
Oops. My bad. Link updated
Nice, what is the price for m2 ?
That depends a lot on the final size. But just ask them for a quote. They are quick with an answer. (Maybe tell them where You got the idea. ;] )
also
what is optiblack?
This, is Optiblack. czcams.com/video/GioVQi0pQ14/video.html
Can we see both side of glass
In theory yes. But depending on the angle there might be a bit of blinding if you watch from the opposite side.
Inviscreen is basically just a plexiglass, right?
Hi! Thanks for watching!
No. It's a film with nano particles that make it a bit hazy while also reflecting and scattering the light.
@@philipp7pc do you know if it can be used on top of plexi glass? any suggestions for cost efficient glass surfaces?
Yes, for the test I used pieces that were on plexi.

Definitely looks futuristic but definitely won’t work if sunlight is beaming down
Nope, that's - like most projectable surfaces - a night time thing.
Do you sell this material?
Not me personally. But You can order at gerriets.com
