I don’t understand why people are with someone that they feel they need to check on like that. If you don’t trust that person, you’re with the wrong person.

      I had been with my husband for ten years and never felt the need to look through his phone. One day he dropped his phone unlocked on his way to work. For some reason I just got a hunch to look at it. The first message I saw was from a woman telling him how good he had given it to her the Saturday before. He had been cheating on me throughout my second pregnancy. My son was one month old at the time. I had no reason to suspect him of cheating. Now I look sideways at anyone who is too protective of his phone. I am not saying to check everyone’s phone but be suspicious if access is vehemently denied.

BLOCK that number! as a girl, guys are so persistent that everytime a number pops up, ill inform them and then block them. because half of you men just don't get it! I learned it when I once told a guy im in a relationship, he said he understood..... weeks later, he texted me again!!!! NOPE BLOCK!

He did offer, when we first got together, his ex had been distrusting, I told him that's her problem, not mine. If you feel that need, you have a problem, what that problem is, I can't say, could be your partner's cheating, or it could be you've been burned before. Either way, it needs resolved. If he were cheating, it'd show in his actions and behaviors. I don't need access to his phone to read him.

    • @snapell74
      @snapell74 Před 6 lety +17

      I don't think she's asking about making a call or Googling something - she wants to check out his history and see if he's messing with someone else. And if she doesn't trust him now without seeing the phone, they haven't got a hope in hell of making a marriage work.

    • @Mr.BluePants
      @Mr.BluePants Před 6 lety +12

      Sarah Pelletier Exactly! The simple fact that she feels the need to check the phone is already proof that she doesn't trust him. And we guys aren't that stupid as to not pick up on that lack of trust... If you don't trust the guy then you're reducing the chances of him giving you what you want because it pisses him off, which will make you trust him even less and it's a vicious cycle.
      If your phone died and you need to make a call or google something it's fine, but asking to see the phone is just a total lack of trust.
      I don't always agree with Steve, but it's just like he said: don't ask to look at the phone if you haven't earned it.
      I don't understand... Guys almost never ask women for their phone and trust their partner, even though women cheat just as much or more than guys.

    I don’t see a problem with looking through your partners phone. What’s wrong with that? You can trust someone and have the password. If they are unwilling to give up their password then that’s when it becomes an issue. You should be able to grab their phone when they are getting a call and answer for them if they can’t make it to the phone. You can trust someone and have their password. Once you become close with someone, there should be nothing to hide.

      That one Girl The other side of the coin is, there is no need for you to be in someone else's phone. IF you trust them, then let that phone call go to voice mail. What exactly would you ever need to look for that can't wait?

      My gf can look through my phone and i can look through hers. We have each others passwords. Sometimes she answers the texts for me, when i’m driving. I see no problem with that.

      You may not see a problem, but if your partner does you should respect it. Ive been with my lady over 8 years and I dont allow her to go through my phone. Nothing wrong with boundaries. Ive never cheated on her. She doesnt give me reasons to look through her phone. If she gave me reasons, i would ask her directly. Only 2 choices after that, solve the problem or end the relationship.

      yer? Sadly its not so easy these days. we used to find a woman and stick with them. It took my father 6 weeks apparently to realise my mum was for him. Guess what my wifes father met her mum at a bus stop and that was it married 2 months later this all in the 50s. Now women are so independent you can not trust any of that. you have to take your time just to check they are not going to destroy the relationship, lie about loving your dog or family or try and change you.

    It isn't right to go through someone's phone since it isn't someone else's right to intrude someone else's privacy. If you feel the need to check someone else's phone then you were already self conscious to begin with. After all, everyone has something to hide hence why we have secrets, emails, privacy, wear clothes, and etc. Like Steve said "give him a chance." Give someone a chance until you suspect they may not be faithful or if you see red flags.

He does the same for me and sometimes if I'm busy and can't answer my phone I'll ask him to do it for me. That's it. I won't Snoop or do anything he doesn't want me to do.

      He means that maybe In the last year/years you dated someone and it didn't work out. You haven't talked to them since, then all of a sudden they message you out of the blue and they are trying to rekindle something. That could look real bad on the person getting the text. But I believe if you're immediately going worst case mentality, and assuming.they are cheating... you don't trust them and you need to re-evaluate your relationship
