    One suggestioin, what I did- build yourself a massive router table mounted on a cabinet with rollers, and if you can find one put a Porter-Cable 3.25 hp router in it. That is just one BEAST of a router, will take anything you can throw at it all day long...unfortunately they no longer make them, so there is a limited new inventory still out there...

    Awesome video, really great info. Just an observation, you have an extremely high value of tool assets, where you’ll generally only be using one at a time. To actually make them work for you financially you could get more people in the shop using them with you working on your products. Seems very high overheads.

    Thanks for another great video. I would love to know more about your Laguna PS3 Profile Sander: What makes it useful and it's practical limitations. Outside of manufacturer's literature, there seems to be very little useful information on these machines. We bought an older machine of this type and fitted it with imported spiral brush heads from China to sand round-overs on our cutting boards. Still have not managed to get consistent results though.

    • @KrisDeVo
      @KrisDeVo  Před 4 měsíci

      Thats interesting. I also bought this with the thought of sanding round-overs on cutting boards and its just not the right tool for the job. I bet it shines for crown molding, deburing cnc stuff and concave projects. I don't use it much.

    wow man I am so happy for you and your family! You really maximized on the covid and seriously you did a lot of work to get to the place you are at however I wanna ask you a question because I think it will help you and everyone else out. well me too... was there a point that you were just doing what you love and suddenly orders went insane and offers to trade you money for your talent were overwhelming to a point that you werent sure if you really wanted to do that much work??? Was that a point in which you decided F it go big or go home and just kept your head down and went to work??? was there a point after that in which you thought maybe it wasnt the right choice? and then was there a point in which you said just get through this and reasess after? Did you keep your mind on what you love and having a great time? or did you allow the overwhelming to take over? I know the answer but everyone else needs to know that that is the point in which things fell into place and if you had focused on the stress you would have burnt out and you would not have filled the orders or raised your prices or whatever you did what ever happened at that point that just fell into place that was the difference between success and failure and that is why you are where you are... congrats man... remember keep your eye on what brings you the most happiness and always always take care of you first... your daughter will thank you.

      You have to go back then and watch his previous videos, especially the ones in his small shop. It will most likely make you feel like a slug. This guy is about three grizzly bears into one.

    I have always called a miter saw when cutting wood with a blade that has teeth, I was always
    told a chop saw is a disc with no teeth and is used for cutting metal. People always call a miter
    saw a chop saw and will never understand that !!!

    Looks like you've made a concerted effort to avoid CCP made tools wherever possible. Cheers to that.

    I remember you doing your scrap cuttingboards in the garage. Is that the small shop you're talking about?
