  • Why did I do such a huge batch of product? That's a good question... I blame CZcams!
Start to finish of 4 months of work here in Alaska.
We are here because of CZcams and all of you amazing people who have grown to love the channel and the product. We really appreciate you!!
These videos are kind of a woodworking Vlog where its about more then just the product. My family, friends and of course this great state of Alaska.
150 edge grain cutting boards, 350 Coasters and 70 cheese boards.
I apologize, its been almost 5 months since my last full length video. I am going to work harder at bringing you guys and gals more content soon with the change of direction at the big shop.
Once again, the guy driving the car who hit my truck had a medical emergency. He got banged up but is okay. I only included this in the video with his permission. 8 weeks later and still nothing has been done about my truck. The important part here is no one died, life is short. Hug your love ones...
These videos are kind of a woodworking Vlog where its about more then just the product. My family, friends and of course this great state of Alaska.
Production of this shop consists of cutting boards, butcher blocks, cheese boards, coasters, bowls, tables, countertops and more.

Trucks are replaceable. You were lucky to have not been out there when it was hit. I am glad the man driving the other car was able to recover. Have you ever thought about using some of the small offcuts as knife scales for bladesmiths? I bet there are some CZcams knife makers that would love to have some. - Leaving this up here but I just read the extended "read more" section about matching knives. Way cool. But a collaboration with you and Will Stelter or Kyle Royer would be cool.

@@tamachining I did watch till the end. I made the comment while watching the beginning as I thought of it. Then later, after I watched till the end and reading the extended section, I edited it. I still believe that a collaboration with LOTS of knife makers would be damned cool. The knife making community on CZcams is pretty close knit.

I completely understand and appreciate your determination to produce high quality wood products. I do not question the amount of time or the number of steps you have developed to move these pieces forward. But as I watched you cut and then rout out the legs for the matching pattern stands for these cutting boards, my thought was to speed up the process and perhaps find a way to have them cut out by lasers, and/or simply make them of one color, or paint gloss black. A lesser complicated stand will not detract from the beauty of your finished cutting boards. Sometimes mass production has to be considered when the number of your orders goes through the roof. If nothing else, fewer steps in the stands' construction and finishing process will also keep your prices under control and buy you additional time to concentrate on the boards themselves and get more completed orders shipped out. My 5 cents (adjusted for inflation).

people ordering from him want the same thing as in the video / thumbnail
As in, alternating stripes of color. This is the whole point.
The only reason why it's popular in the first place is because it looks good in a thumbnail, and people clicked on it.

Right, where do I start. WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, Then it was light at midnight, then a BEAR in the bin, then aurora borealis, then a giant cow in your drive and your truck, I nearly cried. Oh and don't get me started on the amazing clamping thing. OMG. I am completely blown away. I live in the Uk and spend most of my time in my little 3x5m shed, I make 2 sometimes 3 chopping boards at a time, which takes me 2-3 days.
I have total respect for you my freind. AMAZING. Take care. Ps your daughter is beautiful 😍.
