    I am using this speaker for wedding ceremonies and I am anxious about possible updates during gigs. I am not using the app. Will there still be updates? I fear that the speaker suddenly stops working. This would be embarrassing. I wonder, if I should return it, although I really love the sound..

    I’ve got a global question on the Everse 8, 50m, and the 30m. It’s concerning the Ev app. Is there a way to have the speaker delay function on mixer mode. I tried setting the delay in basic mode, and hoped when I switched into mixer mode that it would hold. It didn’t. I’m guessing nothing will hold, if it’s not available in that mode, when you switch over. Unless I don’t have the current firmware. I wanted to use a single 50m/30m and place a everse8 down range, with delay.

    So, the two mics connected to the first Everse will be sent to the slave, either panned or mono. BUT, how do you get the third mic, connected to the slave, to sound on the master Everse?

    Hi I an EV-8 and wonder what’s the latency on it? What kind of Codec does it use? This particularly important if there are items connected by wire and one by Bluetooth. If the latency period is long there is going to the lack of sync between the two inputs.

    When you set this up with its output going into a subwoofer, does it apply a highpass filter to itself? Or is the Everse 8 meant to connect to the output of the subwoofer?

    • @NukePooch1
      @NukePooch1 Před rokem

      The highpass is switchable in the Everse menu. No filtering is applied to the output...so the sub will low-pass itself.

    Curious about the limiter. I’ve heard from many people EV has a limited that limits before peak? And because of their DSP and limiter they are extremely safe. I’m wondering if the limiter flashing several times a song is a bad thing or not?

    • @NLFXpro
      @NLFXpro  Před rokem +1

      Our friends at EV said the limiter allows about 6 dB of headroom, so if the limiter is flashing it's more of a warning that you're about that far from peaking. Hope that helps!

    • @ZackPomerleau
      @ZackPomerleau Před rokem

      @@NLFXpro that’s killer info. That’s a huge amount of headroom so I imagine it’s safe for it to have some limiting at times. I’ve never even noticed the sound of the limiting honestly!

    I have a question when linking 2 Everse8’s, will the app allow the slave speaker to clone all the eq settings on the master speaker? For example the main 7 band eq, and all preset filters, Club, Tripod and stuff. Just something I ran into. Thanks

    • @NLFXpro
      @NLFXpro  Před rokem

      It will not clone the master speaker, however, there is an EQ for the "system" of speakers linked together within the app.

    • @KeokiPalacio

      @@NLFXpro i figured it would be cool to have your settings cloned to slave, it would save a couple steps.

    • @xennialmusic
      @xennialmusic Před rokem +1

      Similar question to that, can the inputs from both speakers be used in combination when paired wirelessly together, so you would go from 4 to 8 inputs using 2 EVERSE 8's, so you would essentially have an 8-channel mixer with 2 mics, 2 guitars and 2 stereo inputs for something like a keyboard or electronic drum set?

    • @xennialmusic
      @xennialmusic Před rokem

      Sounds like that's a no based on the last question in the video.

    • @NLFXpro
      @NLFXpro  Před rokem

      @@xennialmusic the inputs on one Everse 8 will not be heard through the second Everse 8 and vice versa. Through the app you have 8 channels you can control, however when paired - only the music will be heard as stereo.

    Quick dose of reality guys. It's a point source speaker with a battery attached. It comes with a limited stereo mixer but cant transfer the mix to a stereo pair with its "true wireless" connectivity, only the Bluetooth stream? Wow WTF?
    A k8.2 with a velcro battery packs would have twice the power and better sound. So the only reason for the $750 price tag is to compete with the Bose S1 .. which uses the Bose proprietary sound dispersion design you either love or hate. Say what you will but that tech has always come with a premium. So EV comes along. .takes a typical point source speaker.. tosses a battery in it with a little more oomph in power over the Bose but certainly doesn't compete with just about any other point source speaker with a battery pack.
    So let this sink in.. this should be a $399 small battery operated point source speaker but since they marketed it against the "overpriced" Bose. They are charging $750 and most are falling for it. I am a fan of the EV 30m and 50m series, but even they don't even come close to column systems like the LD curve for sound, clarity, dispersion, etc. and the LD products are cheaper pound for pound.. although limited in support. Think about it? Also, how come a Harbinger MXL900 for $500 bucks can seamlessly transfer the integrated mixer stereo channels wirelessly without cables but EV's "True wireless" doesnt work with the mixer.. So much for the wireless stereo PA idea for any performers out there? HUGE FAIL.. its is seriously the stupidest thing i have seen in awhile as far as design flaws lol. Good luck. Yeah it sounds good for streaming in stereo but this ain't a $750 speaker period.. and at that price point.. covers are sold separately.. Really?
