I am using this speaker for wedding ceremonies and I am anxious about possible updates during gigs. I am not using the app. Will there still be updates? I fear that the speaker suddenly stops working. This would be embarrassing. I wonder, if I should return it, although I really love the sound..

Hi many thanks for this video I have a karaoke setup using the XR18 Interface with two EV15’s also the Waves LV1 from my laptop… Can I connect to these speakers via blue tooth from my laptop? And are they responsive? Lastly would they replace the sound of my EV15’s… ?

Thanks. What confused me is the horizontal dispersion of the RCF, I have J8 and it does not even have 60 degrees without high frequencies dropping at least 6db. At 120 degrees there is 18db less high frequencies, basically not usable. This is so far from what the manufacturer states, also very fast from this measurement.

I have my point source over ear mic connected to the body pack but I can't hear my voice...I can hear sound if I slightly blow into the mic though.

One of the key things about fin or paddle antennas is that you can position them optimally, rather than having them in the rack. I've tested a Yagi antenna (built specifially for UK's channel 38 (606.5 to 613.5MHz), and managed to get over a mile comfortably. Over a mile is silly, but it means I'm never going to have to worry in a football stadium!

Awesome video! If you're buying wireless from Ben, it comes with a part-time tech, Ben himself! The end of this video sums it up and I had first-hand experience with this, working in a Country Club near a cluster of radio and TV antennas. My fin antenna was TOO strong and pulling in the interference. Ben stayed with me on facebook messenger, troubleshooting in real time. He had me try a few things, including downgrading my antennas to quarter wave and that contained the signal to the room I was in and saved the day. Interference gone! Sometimes less is more, especially when you are near a TV station. Always be aware of your surroundings and keep Ben on speed dial! His helpful nature and wealth of knowledge alone is worth doing business with him!

What Shure system is this and is it normal to have each mic on it’s on frequency set or is this just better reported with the Shure software where normally it’s just the receiver setting channels with in j1 or g1 etc?

And my, how wireless technology as a whole, and wireless microphones specifically, have evolved into some terrific, reliable tools! I'm old enough to remember the UHF microphones that really lost the luster of the input signal (be they instrument or vocal applications). I still have them, but they are much more museum pieces at this point. Keep the great videos coming!
