Started as a Navy AFRTS radio DJ in Puerto Rico in '78. Clubs in '79, mobile work in '81. Retired Navy in 2001. Dipping my toes into Digital w/system for DJ/live band, home production... Much of my gear is from Ben Stowe and the NLFX Pro team. They're the best!!!

How I got my start as a DJ... Thanks to being a math tutor, I got to be associated with one of the sororities on campus during my first year of college. I basically became a dance partner of sorts for some of them, which meant that I needed to work on dancing to keep up. One of my suitemates was a club DJ - I'd invade his room when he'd prep for his sets and he decided to show me the ropes.
It stuck far harder than I ever would have anticipated.
You guys are doing a GREAT job with these. Keep it up!

I started off while going to the NCO club in South Korea (USAF) I was hanging out with the DJ’s and then all of them ended up on a field deployment, I was one of many others that were not out, so the club opened up the sound booth for me to operate, I was hired officially a couple days later. I then DJ’d at Guantanamo Cuba, after getting out of the service I started a mobile DJ Service back in 1996

As odd as it sounds, our high school FFA chapter had a small rig we used for school dances. That started it all for me and my friends.

When I was 19 my mom dialed the phone handed it to me and said when they answer tell him that your mom said they should hire you. That was the pros DJs 37 years ago. Where does the time go.

I started off doing a middle school dance because the DJ they were using moved.
