  • Welcome back to Movie Masters! Today, we're diving into the world of audio equipment. I know, it's not exactly video gear, but hey, sound and visuals go hand in hand, right?
So, let's break it down. We've got the E-verse 8 and the Bose S1 Pro Plus on the table. The big difference? The E-verse boasts an 8-inch speaker, while the Bose comes in at 6.5 inches. More size often means more volume, but does it equate to better quality? That's what we're here to find out.
Both speakers offer a similar number of inputs, but there are some key differences. For instance, the Bose S1 Pro Plus features a 3.5mm aux in, while the E-verse rocks a full-size jack aux in. Small details, but they can make a big impact on your sound experience.
Now, let's talk price. The Bose S1 Pro Plus will set you back around $1300 AUD, while the E-verse comes in at $900 to $1000 AUD, depending on where you snag it. Pricey, but quality audio gear often is.
We've got both speakers juiced up and ready to rock. One thing to note: the Bose S1 Pro Plus comes with wireless transmitters for added convenience. Nice touch, but it does bump up the price tag.
Alright, time to put these babies through their paces. We've set both speakers to the same volume for a fair comparison. First up, a little guitar action. Then, we'll switch it up with some bass to really test those lows.
From our ears to yours, we'll share our honest thoughts on each speaker's sound quality and performance. But hey, don't just take our word for it. We want to hear from you too! Which speaker gets your vote? Drop us a comment and let's keep the conversation going.
Thanks for tuning in, and don't forget to hit that like button and subscribe for more content like this. Until next time, keep rocking!

I think the Bose has some amp emulation going on, I think you need a modeller in front of the EV mate 👍

I don’t understand why you would record audio from behind a speaker. You can also fully eq the everse to sound the way you want.

Yes we tried different eqs. You can also eq the bose. This wasn't me trying to push one or the other. I do own both. I'm it's no paid promotion. Just ny opinion. We use Everse as a monitor speaker for bass on floor, and bose for the crisp highs for guitar and vocal

And this is the full hour-long version of the Everse 8 street perfomance video in the city. Live vocals plus backing tracks, more different songs. More different angles. czcams.com/video/ZH0lRGB3YUk/video.htmlsi=RupLdcipgKUdUG8p

And Everse 8 with guitar and vocals, in another place of the city and another performance czcams.com/video/uJeYJNi0bb8/video.html I created a playlist on my channel. Electro-Voice Everse 8 professional battery-powered PA speaker system (home and outdoor tests, sound comparison): czcams.com/play/PLbj7PzWDzGJX8d-fvcsuldKeyUDtbiFrV.html Various amateur tests and comparisons with other amplifiers for street musicians, including Roland Cube Street EX, Jbl Eon One Comact. I didn't have the Bose S1 pro.

I have both and prefer the Everse 8. I could not get a tone I liked for my jazz guitar, Cordoba Fusion and Martin 00028EC on the Bose. They sound OK but on the Everse they all sound great.

In what settings do you use them? I don't run any fx pedals through my units. Mainly just clean guitar and vocals.

@@Sonymoviemasters At home with my bass player and, occasionally, an accordion player. Use mainly reverb. On occasion chorus. Sometime no effects.

Bose is the winner for me.... But for busking, 3 piece band, I would buy two Bose S1 pros, and 1 Everse for the bass or upright bass ..

Bose sounds more musical than Everse. I hear more details from Bose

Bruh, who does a sound test from behind the speaker??

    • @Sonymoviemasters

I had two microphones, one micing up the front (the audio is for you ). And I had a mic for my speaking.

Sorry, seems like you still did not see what I meant. You can’t properly assess a speaker’s sound quality if you are behind the speaker you are assessing. You have to face the speaker at a certain distance to truly hear its full spectrum and have proper exposure to its sound.

I've watched several videos and Everse 8 seems superior to me.

Best way is to go try them yourself in the shop! Both great amps for different reasons. I just personally prefer the bose. For me the wireless units really does it for me
