This is hilarious. I remember when I used to live in Florida and a friend of mine told me that he got robbed in Oakland. This was like 13 years ago, he told me don’t ever go to Oakland. I’ve been in the bay area now for almost 10 years and I take his advice to heart , I don’t go to Oakland! The citizens of Oakland cannot rely on the government to save them. They need to get together and get these troublemakers in check like the mafia used to do back in the old neighborhoods.

*You have to meet certain requirements* -- EBT Cash only works in fast food restaurants if you're homeless (or at a certain poverty level) and don't have access to an in-home kitchen in California or access to a regular residence where you can cook up a hot meal with electricity, gas, heating, etc. There's certain criteria. Even if you get general EBT not all get the same exact benefits. There's also CalFresh and WIC which have other requirements.

I noticed the sign in the Taco Bell window about EBT. Since when did EBT (i.e. food stamps) permit purchasing hot foods? When I was on it many, many years ago no purchase of hot foods were allowed.

I use to live here. I went to college here I use to go here 3 plus times a week. You can get robbed at the drive-through, too. The cops the leadership our society is broken. Oakland had its issues when I lived there but it wasn't like it is now it's sad it's pathetic.
I honestly believe the Cops aren't doing their jobs on purpose...either because they know the judges won't indicate the criminals or just as a silent protest against city leadership

I worked in a fast food restaurant that went from company owned to franchise and the franchise owner wanted to recover his money fast, so he decided to have all his restaurants open 24 hours.
Even the restaurants that had no drive thru.
What a headache it was to hire employees to work the grave yard shift. They kept quitting left and right, because the owner was a tightwad, giving employees only 0.25 more an hour.
Then there was the bad neighborhood the restaurant was located in.
When it was Company owned, that restaurant didn't qualify for extended hours because of the bad neighborhood.
Be thankful this Franchise owner swung on the side of safety vs profit.
