Elena Rybakina being horribly mistreated by the press during Wimbledon 2022 but staying composed

Just a reminder how these journalists treated Elena Rybakina two years ago. They knew perfectly well that she represents Kazakhstan since 2018
and yet decided to ask her all these inappropriate and provocative questions. Shameless behaivor but Elena Rybakina handled it very well.

Hypocrisy and double standards…

Why would a real professional journalist ask a top tennis player at a top tennis competition “ do you still feel Russian?” It is just xenophobic inappropriate questions in such context which doesn’t imply asking the sort of questions related to nationality and especially about feelings.

Where the hell was the officials who have to take care of these young players? They should have stopped the line of questioning.

For god's sake, this is not a tik tok congressional hearing, it's Wimbledon. Bravo Elena on handling those questions.

The focus is solely on politics! What about TENNIS? The media should be ashamed.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I feel bad for her. I feel like she has a hard time standing up for herself and they took advantage of that. Very impressive how poised she remained throughout this madness in 2022

And she’s smiling through this torture. The whole questioning was an attempt to break her. Horrible so-called journalists.
I would’ve walked out and cussed them out fr

They’re so gross, trying to badger her with these questions and drag her into a political controversy. Love that she stays sweet, honest and respectful.

These idiots should ask these questions in Davos not at the tennis tournament. I did not notice any question about her play. She was extremely polite and calm and never said get lost.

There has to be guidelines as to what media can ask and what not to...she's a tennis player and not.
    Keep politics out of sport.
    Well done Elina.

It's a sad state of affairs, all she wants to do is play tennis. Guess the reporters think playing for Kazakhstan is a way of cheating.
