There's one part you didn't mention, which is the o-ring on the base. It fell off when I disassembled my filter, and I wasn't sure how it was supposed to go back in. I think I see it if I freeze frame your video.

Thank you!! Is your filter working okay?

@@Andy_Humphrey Not at this tme. I think I may have damaged the o-ring, or maybe it was just old and streteched out before I messed with it. Unfortunately, I can't just order the o-ring as a replacement part. Have to disassemble it and take another look at it, and maybe order an o-ring from McMaster-Carr or something?

Oh, yeah, you can see the o-ring clearly at 1:48 in the video. The one on my filter is most definitely old and stretched out: I think it should be about 2 1/8" in diameter and mine is about 2 1/4". Have to see if I can find a replacement at Lowe's or Home Depot or online.

@mlaursen considering these are not particularly expensive, you might be better off to order a new complete unit and replace everything, except the lower unit connected to the pipe. If the o-ring isn’t the problem, you’ll have the other pieces too.

@@Andy_Humphrey I might have to do that. There’s one place online that sells HY-100 assemblies. First, I think I’ll drop by Ace Hardware and see if they have a suitable o-ring.
