i remember messing around with the 3DS camera a lot. I made a video where i said "what the hell?" backwards and then poured water into a cup and then spilled it out, so when you played the video backwards, the water would look freaky and cool, and then i'd say "what the hell?"

Such a bizarre item - I got a ton of mileage out of mine. My friend and I would make a makeshift gameboy stand, grab some action figures that could stand on their own and do some crude stop motion animations with them. Fun times... *Grabs Gameboy Color & Camera*
The Run game - I'd pop the camera into the Super Gameboy, grab my SNES pad that had turbo and let that do all the work. I've beaten the run game once without turbo and talk about hand torture - felt like I was on some sugar rush.
I'd try to make a camera pun, but now I'm starting to lose *focus.* I'm a little mad, but I'll try not to *snap.*

This was a fantastic trip down memory lane, great vid! I 100%'d this "game" back in the day and spent countless weekends with my brothers and friends making funny pictures and hotspot games, sharing them with each other, and printing goofy photos that we'd sticker on all sorts of stuff like school books and game cartridges... ahhhhh, good times, good times. Collecting all of those album pics was such a huge challenge! Truly one of the most enjoyable Game Boy games ever made, and who woulda thought, it'd be a camera.
That new intro, though!

This is one of the most comprehensive pieces of software/hardware I've ever seen. The developers really had a field day with it, cramming every single possible idea into one package. I need to get something like this one day

FYI, the Wii did have a camera. The Wii Remote pointer works by an IR camera seeing the “sensor bar”, which is really just two IR LEDs about 30cm apart. It’s basically the same camera found inside the right Joy-Con.

Yes ! I used to use the drawing and hotspot features to create adventures and explorations ! The only frustration was the 30 images memory limit 😅. I had endless fun.

It's wild seeing how downplayed the Pokémon stuff was in the international version compared to Japan, especialy with how "PokéMania" hit those regions hard months, if not years after the Game Boy Camera came out.

You skipped the bit of using a Japanese gbcamera for the Mario artist series. You can import your photos and use them at textures on 3d characters. So got get yourself a n64 dd and all the mario artist games!
