I used the beat making mini game in the Game Boy Camera to make some very average chip tune songs!

Random kid with a hat on is going to make it big one day.
Getting freaky on a Friday night
That's one of the creepiest pieces of software/hardware made by Nintendo. *Ever*
A.S.K343 why
Quad There’s a ton of weird and creepy Easter eggs and references in this for no reason
Yeah, they're considered one of the scariest Easter eggs in all video games
No reason for this to be scary...
@@JonasTisell Read the second reply to my comment. _you idiot nooby poo head_
imagine if random kid in a hat watches your videos lol by now he's probably like 30 or something
I wonder with what the random kid with the hat is doing in his life now 😂
Dead

To be honest, the ability to manually adjust the step length to be something that AINT a multiple of 3 or 4 is really better than most entry level DAWs.
8 Weeks from now: Making music with a pancake
I mean, it could work
I bet he’s going to make a video making music on a gameboy camera. 😂just imagine how stupid a person has to be to make that kind of thing lol
@ispentthenightin That's what this video is
Who'sJoe, it’s meant to be a joke.
@@kirbythe64 wooosh
You always find ways to make music with the weirdest things. I never knew the Gameboy Camera had a music making game.
I love how much of an optimist he is he literally deleted his work and still made it better with a smile on his face
Ah, GB Camera DJ -- such a rad little thing. Actually used my own to make a backing loop for a poem I wrote way back in college.
Man, can you imagine how awesome it'd be for Nintendo to release an expanded version of this for the Switch? Multiple loops, exporting songs in some fashion (via microSD card or the like), touch controls for selecting notes? I imagine you'd get some pretty Authentic GameBoy Sounds from it too, provided emulated GB sound hardware sounds close enough to the real thing. (And I mean, there's plenty of SFX/Pokémon cries in Sword/Shield that seem to do just that~)
...I mean, that's almost certainly a pipe dream. But, still -- it's nice to think about.
Korg gadget is what you're probably looking for on the switch
Make music with LSDJ! It's a DAW specifically made for the Gameboy!
Lsdj is fun
I WAS JUST ABOUT TO COMMENT THIS!!! I have it for my GBA SP and holy crap is it fun and sounds good!
Well, chipzel made spectra using gameboys only and mastering it in logic.
the song in the end lowkey make me wanna go to church
I am waiting for the moment when Levi Niha makes a song using mayonnaise
He already did that two years ago
@@DolanDark heckin doland
@@DolanDark what the fuck.
thats sean hogan territory
@@analysis726 yeah
if he ever ends up on andrew huangs 4 producers series he has to use the most left field DAW possible
Imagine being that kid in the face picture been grown up now and finding this video today
I love chiptunes, I love Melodics and I def love Levi! you killed it as always my man!
Dude this is so sick.
Make another video using the GB camera please.
Shout out to the random guy with a hat!
9:46 levi makes chiptune doom metal
Excuse me sir you are missing a few million subs
OceanTrident I am helping to this cause.
the dj effects really make it stand out... if they would have added just a few extra things like recording and play back things could be so epic but this itself is really amazing on its own and i remember how fun this was as a kid
Yellowtale: bwuhbwuhbwuh
Sour Cream: Need more glow sticks dad!
The Background hints next videos. After the Nokiavideo we soon get "Making Musik with a Rubiks Cube"
This upload consistency is amazing!
Love your work
Sick, now check out LSDJ. The legit Gameboy sequencer. Plus you get to use both pulse channels! And built in 808 samples 😋
Although I have LSDJ for few years and I'm aware about stuff like nanoloop or mGB, I even modified my Game Boy with custom parts, but I didn't know that there was an official way to make a music on Game Boy :D
Simply awesome ^^, well done.
YOU GOT KMAC2021's COPY OF GAMEBOY CAMERA THAT IS INSANE!!!
This man can create music with anything
4:04 Sounds like you remixed one of those old office complex phones.
It would be great if you'll find a LSDJ cartridge for gameboy or run in through the emulator and try ro make music on it. It's a music sequencer for gameboy and it's really fun to use it!
Dude u never cease to amaze
*starts making horrifying broken music that will haunt my dreams for the rest of my life*
"But anyways, that's a quick rundown."
"I (insert name) have a dream
and that's a remix of Giorno's theme"
2 weeks late but the reason the 2nd sound channel doesn't have volume is because it's a triangle channel. Triangle channels have the quirk of either being max volume or off.
Love the background with the rubrix and SNES controller
This DAW is so great to make professional music, I do music with it since I was a kid and many people listen to it! The best DAW ever!
I had one of these as a kid, I wish I explored the DJ minigame more now when I see this!
You should make music in LMMS Pleaseeee....
Even if you do, I love the content and will always be watching these videos ;)
Yeah I mentioned that a while ago in one of his videos, he didn't reply, but honeslty LMMS is horrible. Would be interesting to see him try in it
@Bob Ross I also used it when I started music production. Pretty crappy sounds and interface but its better than most payed mobile applications.
@Bob Ross I suggest the fl studio demo. You can learn alot on it until you 'buy' the proper version
On PS4 there's a game called sound shapes and it lets you make music and personally I really like it and I think you'll enjoy it too
4:05 telephone type beat
*terrible "drum" noises*
Levi: That sounds pretty nice
Ooo would love to see you try LSDJ on the gameboy now. It's a lot more powerful and I think you could do some cool stuff. Or maybe nanoloop too.
I have 2 similar ideas for a video:
Making a song using Famitracker
Making a song using the Family Composer (a Famicom Disk System game) (must be using Fceux since by combining the emulation speed changing (preferably by setting a custom speed ) (I know that you know emulation. You emulated Mario Paint on a SNES emulator and you also used Vmware Workstation Pro) and the RPM slider from the game, you can change how the rhythm section sounds like)
When you realise your beats are still trash compared to a guy making them on a camera
Imagine if random kid with hat watches this channel
Next up with Levi Niha: making music on a calculator
Love the kinda dark creepy vibe.
i played with the sequencer on the gameboy camera so much when i was in middle school and now im doing it on the pc to make decent songs in FL
Go outside in the morning and record birds sing and then make a beat of the recording. I would be so happy if you could do this. P.s. you’re music is great
Congrats you’re in the 1%
Of people who use the wrong “your”- you’re one of the few I’ve seen use the contraction over the possessive one

For a gameboy camera das amazing!
i love you man
impressive video!
I remember wasting so many hours on this as a kid!!! The camera barely got used! My parents got annoyed VERRRYYYY quickly! ha.
What's up man?
shouldve tried the 'who are you running from' thing
very yes
Check out LSDJ if you wanna really tame the beast! What is your outro song btw sounds dope as fuuh
Look for his video title something like song that 90% of you don't know
He made the outro song
@@zeepaardgaming Yaas I figured, just wanna know what it's called
@@n1nj4l1nk Thanks meng!
I love your hair style
My god this game brings back so many memories.😍 although not all good! I have no idea how I got the game boy camera, but there were 2 photos on it that scared the shit out of me as a child, slightly edited with the picture editing part of the "game", but I believe on one of the little games it would pop up at the end like a jump scare and I remember never playing that game for a long time 😂
Thats cool
How yo dont have millions of views is beyond me, I'm not even interested in making music and I watch your videos.
fucken massive flex using the apple pencil as a pointer on a gameboy
The cooking beat challenge!
Make a beat using only utensils found in the kitchen!
Try the KORG DS-10 if you haven't yet
You’re invincible
If you make a music with no sound still it would be one the best musics out there
thoae gameboy camera menu songs and art were like they were designed by nintendo while living at the nickelodean headquarters
Making a beat using only sounds from a laptop and or computer mouse?
use a game boy tracker. milkytracker is the one i use, but it's a little difficult to get the gameboy sound effects
now make loops/samples in the game boy camera and export them into ableton
Cool to see you make music with the DS game warioware DIY
How did I miss this?
I want there to be a camara like this for the switch.
Were is the full pyrocynical outro
You should give Little Sound DJ a chance! It also works on the GameBoy, but if you want a PC alternative you can go with FamiTracker!
Big props for that Worms 3D box
Next, MAKING MUSIC WITH A MARBLE MACHINE
In 2014 or so I bought FL studio mobile, I just don't have the patience for the limited work flow, unless I was broke. Now the GBC?! Man I would go crazy
Melodies is super fun but ofc u need a lot of instruments to fully use it
When bad is the new good
did nintendo ever make anything else as detailed of s midi music maker back then before the actual korg sd game?
because i really was suprised nintendo didnt actually create a full music game loaded with all nintendo music classic midi songs so you can take them apart and edit them to make your own midi music snd they could also have made a pixel art one at least for gameboy color and beyond and of course a gameboy game maker of course i think they did have rpg makers for game boy advanced?
sound like an intro to a about to be a popular video game
Did you try the LSDJ on Gameboy? Probably you could make an amazing 8bit music on it :)
Can you make the music with that headphones plugged in to a 1998 game boy? Yes or no?
Making music with only the discord "Ping" sound
YES
Yep
You should start making a sound by using a music box
Hey Levi Great Video - When you showed the picture of the Kid I swear that maybe me..... And the only Why to confirm is if the the Name Diego comes up on the profile or has a birthday of 3rd August.
Someone needs to get you an arduinoboy. It's a custom midi interface for the gameboy.
They also had an awesome printer
Take a look at "Sonic Pi" it is a program that allows you to make music from coding. I have played with it a bit, I would love to see what you can do with it!
Yes
Why not try BandLab. Not only does it support midi, but you can plug in your guitars, and you can share your songs with other people who have accounts on the app.
Misty Hatcher how to you connect a midi controller to it if you have an iPad with space for an aux cord and a lightning cable?
@@jeffnubskin9164 you can get it on pc too
Cat sounds. CaT SoUnDs. Try it. I dare you.
some of the music he's playing sounds like it came straight out of shovel knight
Growing up I was the only one of my friends that owned one. Bought it used at gamestop for cheap
better than the iphone camera
