hey mate good vid, btw it isnt uncommon to get squid in the lake. Some spots can produce up to 10 each session. They come in there and cruise around for food. Mullys love em.

icaught squid in west lakes with the squid rig/hooks without a fish on it. they were sunbaking and just jagged them with the hooks they kept coming back to the same spot so i left hooks under them then sunk the jags into them
Awesome man! That’s exactly how we came across them, they were just chilling by the steps soaking in the good weather haha. Good work mate, definitely one of my favourite catches so far 🦑
We've been told you're not a lot of fish in front of people's you have to fish where there is a fishing spot that is allowed. It says on some of the boards that you can not fish you can not fish a certain distance from people's houses or both houses or the jetties they are Jerry's you have to be a certain distance away.
Some do say that however I have a few family members who live down there and they were happy for us to fish them 🙂 locals have become very friendly and love a free show!
@@JordanSAFishing That's really good for you you're very lucky. I snapped my rod a week ago at the inlet a week ago at the inlet because I slipped on the rocks because one of them was loose. All I wanna do is just catch them and release someone know it's a waste of time people say it is but it's not about bringing them home and eating it's just having fresh air and enjoying. I went to the one that's opposite the lighthouse that you the lighthouse that you see across of your left of your left of it that's a really nice spot. It's just beautiful here in the cars drive over the bridge dangling your legs and it's just beautiful got to see 2 dolphins Swimming past. Oh I did catch 4 trumpeters and about 3 baby little Bream Was so cute to release.

@@JordanSAFishing That's OK It's reminded me not to go on the rocks. Now just focusing on a really good fishing rod again. So I can start fishing again. I know that you also get crabs in westlakes. The day that I broke my Lost his fishing rod that was a real long one real long one I have never seen before. He had a snook but the snook took off with his rod. So he jumped in to get up and he got it back but lost the snook. 🤣
