Great little video - after a little miss-hap & running my Ranger out of fuel & despite numerous self priming attempts via turning key on/off - this purging of air sorted out the problem. Cleared error code P2291

This is good for a two person job. But if you're alone you can still prime and bleed the filter. I do my fuel filter jobs using a brake fluid flushing bottle to pump fuel into the fully assembled and dry filter housing. It takes only a few seconds and you can completely fill a filter housing while it's on your bench after replacing the filter. I pump the fuel into the tank in connection until it's pouring out of the return connections. Then you can just pop the filled housing back on its mount, reconnect the pipes and water sensor, and do one or two key cycles to finish priming and bleeding. Truck starts right up after that.

What is the Diesel fuel type you use in your ranger? Here in Africa we use Diesel 50 ppm

what if there is no fuel coming out of the line? changed my filter the same as i have done many times, however, this time something isn't right sadly.
EDIT - Actually all good. I had to crack mine for just a second to get it to start priming. Worked a treat! Thank you very much.

He literally shows where the line is to unhook. It isn't a fuel filter changing guide.
