    Great video! Thanks for the recommendations. You gave me a couple of great new reads for spooky season. My recommendation is a series that was just coming out when you posted this video: The Me You Love in the Dark. It's a beautiful, dark, and disturbing story about an artist who moves into an old house in a small town to gain inspiration but not at all what she was expecting. It's from Skottie Young and Jorge Corona. Just gorgeously atmospheric and creepy.

    After watching this video, I started searching my local comic book shops to see who would possibly be carrying these comics. But after googling a bit, I thought about maybe seeing if a local library had any. I haven't checked out a book from a library in over 15 years. But to my surprise, the three I wanted to check out (Archie, Harrow County, and Abbott) were on the shelves of the library 1 mile from my house. I know it might not be the same for everyone, but I do recommend using your local library to check out new comics. Thanks so much for these recommendations!

    Walking Dead is also a must-read horror book. 140 something issues spread across 4 compendiums, but it is incredible. A horror comic that made me cry, laugh, and be frightened, and the way it’s written, you’re never sure who’s safe.

    Everything James Tynion is doing atm is off the chart , i never thought id deviate from Marvel Super Hero stuff like i have , like shit, im only getting X-men from Marvel , im getting SIKTC (and now House of Slaughter), Nice house on the lake , Dept of Truth , but also alot of image stuff like Killadelphia , The Walking Dead Deluxe, Nocterra, Mercy. Ive taken a hard right turn away from woke Super Hero stuff over the last Year. My 'Ghost in the Shell #1' used to be my most valued in my collection , but now its defiantly SIKTC - 'Something is killing the Children #1' Foil cover, so happy to have a copy of that. I know GITS is worth a fair bit , but god knows what SIKTC is worth already, but by value, i mean that i have a copy, and im grateful to have it.

    Crossed Wish You Were Here was a pretty good series. The main crossed series had good moments but was inconsistent.

      No longer human. Maybe because it's not his original story? Also the sexual assault in the book is just not for me and felt pointless -M

    Why are you showing light hearted horror, why the hell would I be here if I wanted light hearted horror. We want bloody and gruesome books.

    • @NearMintCondition
      @NearMintCondition  Před rokem +1

      WE did? Because there are different type of horror that’s why. Some people like psychological, some body horror, some existential and some just a cheap jump scare and shock factor.
