I have been shooting medium format cameras for decades. I have shot 6x6, 6x7, 6x9, and 6x12cm. I have never shot 645 and have never seen the need to shoot 645. However, if I ever lost all my 35mm small format cameras and all my medium format cameras, I would seriously consider replacing them all with only a 645 camera system.
intersting that you didn't mention that the RB doesn't have a meter and the 645 does. That was the main reason I sold my RB and got the 645 - honestly the biggest factor to me.
Hey dude, I am going to buy my first ever medium format camera and I am torn between a Mamiya RB67/RZ67 or the 645. I don't core so much for the aspect ratio of the 645, as I am used to 35mm - but, what really concerns me is the optical depth. Not depth of field but the "three dimensional" rendering that is created by the distance between lens and medium and also the size of the medium. What is your experience in this regard? Is there any noticeable difference between the two cameras when it comes to three-dimensionality? Thanks so much in advance.
@@Shingie Yeah, I found a whole RB67 Set for ridiculous 600$ including a 90mm lens, waist level finder, eye level finder, grip, two 6x7 backs, a cable trigger, a macro mount and a tele mount. Now wish me luck that it also woks. Should arrive today. I'm so exited.
Argh!! What happened to the lens lip on your 645?? That’s painful! There is a way to fix that using a wooden dowel, some very (very) low heat, and some careful hammering, so don’t despair. Or, leave it if it doesn’t bother you.
I know you don’t like talking about technical features but when you do gear reviews and comparisons and you don’t talk about the camera specs it just looks like you don’t know what you’re talking about tbh. Just saying it’s good quality doesn’t really help anyone, specs are important if someone wants to know the capabilities of a camera.
Thanks for the comment man! 😁 Stats can be easily accessible from a ton of other photographers. My subscribers follow me for my experiences and opinions. This is by far not a review.. as stated in the video l, people that message me simply want to know which one to get and based on usability and results. They aren’t interested in stats. My channel is based on my journey and life experiences. I truly understand what you’re saying but that’s not the direction for this channel.. and thanks for sharing again. 😁💕
These camera's are well patted.
You have to do that when you want to keep going. You know what I'm saying?
Lol.
The vocal length of mamiya 645 f/1.9 is 80mm. Love your review by the way!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Your work is amazing! Exactly the video I was looking for.
Thank you so much for the kind words.
This review was needed no cap! I just got the 645 Super, so I might cop the RB67 Pro-SD again and have both.

✨Noti Gang! 1k you got this!!!
Great video bro!!! Quick question, how does the 6x6 format stand up the quality of the 6x7?
Thanks as always brother.. I’d say it’s pretty even.. nothing insanely noticeable. I actually love the 6x6 look! Probably a lot more than 6x7 👀
@@Shingie lol well I'm keeping my 6x6 lol gotta wait to see how my first set of photos come out tho
- you’re gonna love it bro! The quality is soooo sooo good. 😩
