To celebrate Dimebag's birthday, Sweetwater's Nick Bowcott shows you how to play three classic Pantera riffs in a Dimebag-approved manner.

Saint Dime is the most difficult guitarist to recreate faithfully.
And I love his attitude: Who cares, as long as it sounds good
Thanks for showing dime some love on his birthday.. much respect Sweetwater
🤘
Nick you yourself are a champ. You represent our Hero very well. Been watching you for a minute. You do it right.
Nice British chap teaching us. Love you Sweetwater
Thanks for the info the Abbotts will be missed but never forgotten \M/
Poo Ninja getcha pull
@Poo This Black Tooth Grin is for you.... Cheers!
Adam D. Cheers
Dimebag was so cool, just like that Charvel.
Happy Birthday Dime R.I.P.
Wow, Nick Bowcott is at Sweetwater? I still have Grim Reaper albums on vinyl!
Loved the REAPER and Nick sounds great still!
Thanks for all those articles and the time you spent Nick. I read em all as a teenager learning to play guitar. Hes still my favorite guitarist ever and i STILL jam his tunes in my bedroom at 45yr!!
Thanks Nick, great to see you again. Great sounding riffs man, thanks for the tips! Again, really good to see you! Long live the REAPER!!!!
FINALLY SOMEONE PLAYS THIS RIFFS RIGHT. Thank you for spreading the Dime seed
It's been so long and sometimes it's still hard to believe they are gone. Dime and Vin were each 1/2 of the most brutal riff machine ever. Listen to dime isolated and it rocks. Listen to Vin isolated and it rules. Listen to them bounce rhythms off each other and its goodness multiplied by a million. They will never be replaced. Never. Ever.
🤘

Please tell us the story of your Washburn models with Dime!!!
Dude thank you, these are things I have always wondered about and to have you, who sat with the MAN show us is really cool and special. Plus it's obvious you are just a cool dude. keep it up!
Dime is still the man!
Bro !!!! I am honored that you had the privilege and honor to learn from that guy. Im 42 yrs old. I’ve been playing Zakk and dime riffs for yrs but the fact you were honored with that experience. Damn, god bless you bro.
Thanks bruv!
Thank you
Nick is awesome! Can we get some Grim Reaper lessons next? Maybe even a Nick Bowcott Grim Reaper pedal board set up? 😋
Where can I get that sticker of Dimebag in the Simpsons style?!?
Happy Birthday, Dime. At first I thought that sweet Washburn was the Def Lep edition, but nah the graphic is different. What IS that guitar? Custom paint?
Well said,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well played,,,,,,,,,,,,,you,sir,,,,,walk the walk................thank you for a pep talk everyone needs to here!.😈...land o' lakes,wi.usa........kiss and Pantera forever...😐
I want the riffer madness just because I love dime, but the things I'm not confident on I would love to learn from that book, where to buy 🤔
Most people don’t realize that Dime’s tuning was off as he usually did it by ear. It was almost always 1/4 step flat. Even with his Dropped tunings.
False. It was tuned to 430 hz for A as he thought it sounded better. Concert pitch or standard tuning is 440 hz for the A. He got the idea from Van Halen. This tuning is also used by the Beatles. The more you know.
Incredibly, I had them all correct. Think I learned from Carl at guitar 365🤘🏻.
Curious what your signal chain is. That sounds damn good.
Lefties unite! Thanks for the great info! I love trying to play things exactly like how they were played and written.
One problem: the last note in the "new level" riff is a 'b flat' 😆
Nice guitar
He's a lefty ?
OMG ! I'm too
That's just like "The Thing That Should Not Be" by Metallica. Everybody plays it in drop D, but there is one chord that, although it can be played on the drop D tuning, doesn't sound right. Also, I've never found a video where they are playing it in drop D.
Eeee you didn't have your British flag Washburn D3??
Hi
Hello there!
@@HomoChomsky General Kenobi!
@@emilienfalcimaigne8065 I see you're a man of culture.
3:58 maybe the latter sounds brighter because you're palm muting the former!?
That was the most british american thing I've ever seen
Correction, England stole for the first and hopefully the only time, the World Cup
Yeah dime tune 432 hz instead of what we use in 440 and thats part of why its "flat" technically the first microtonal modern metal guitarist lol
good video, yuck guitars tho lol
Union flag might be outdated after brexit
