Really. Those kids come out of their one-and-done season and they don't know how to play. They ran their high school team, they were featured on their AAU team and mostly their college year was just a showcase. It takes them another two years to contribute to an NBA team because they've never been coached.
They need to extend the line out to 23'9" all the way round, eliminating the corner 3s. This MIGHT encourage more creative play, and different shots besides the boring Dunks-and-3s, no offensive boards, no fast breaks snoozefest we've got now.
And stop rewarding flops, and call technical fouls (unsportsmanlike conduct?) for clearly deliberate fakes. That flopping with absolutely zero contact needs to be punished.

That was the time, I got introduced to earlier games through NBA rebroadcasts and just started watching those instead. Because I'm older now, I appreciate those games better. I particularly watch 1995 to 2005 games. There's so much variety and identity to each team, and they just don't shoot layups and jumpshots and do 1 or 2 plays, that's what got me hooked.

We Europeans usually only watch late playoffs finals at this point. NBA regular season has become some sort of a joke here. Even when the skill/talent is higher you simply cannot enjoy it coming from a league where (actually) every game matters to the point that teams all calculated their point difference in the final 3 matches of the regular season in order to make it to a BO3 playoffs with court advantage, while avoiding unfavorable matchups.
European basketball has maintained the character in its games, although top skill/talent is overseas (US), you still get the 2000s-10s feeling of significance and to top it off, this goes on for most of the year not just the playoffs. Games are not meant to be 'family fun' with various shows in and outside the court. They are meant to be a tactical battle.

There are 5 big issues with the current product
    1. The NBA does not have likeable and marketable superstars in the Jordan Era you had Bird Ewing Thomas and all of them embraced the competition during the Kobe era there was AI Vince Carter Tmac Dirk now in the Lebum Era some of the biggest stars who are just so unlikeable Luka Kyrie KD James Harden Joel Embiid. All top superstars or guys who have been superstars that audiences just cannot connect with or just despise these guys. Then theres bad guys like Dennis Rodman then there Draymond Green who wants to be tough when it works for him then the victim at the same time.
    2. Lack of competition from 2010 to 2020 all the super teams pushed away alot of the hard-core fans who would just say insert strongest team of the season is going to win
    3. Lack of defense and flopping games need to be reviewed and if it is clear that a player is flopping no matter who it is they need to be fined for the first offense fined and suspended for 1 game for the second offense and fined and suspended for 5 games as well as be eliminated from any yearly awards for the 3rd offense.
    4. All sports media platforms need to be unbiased enough of the clutch sports shills they have ruined ESPN it is so obvious it is disgusting so what you will about Skip Bayless he atleast does not take any payment to promote Lebum.
    5. There needs to be some sort of Rich Paul rule this guy has legitimately attacked NBA franchises to help Lebum I know that he is his agent, but to have an agent openly threaten teams at the draft by saying Bronny will just go play in Australia is ridiculous. Also, that is just what has been promoted publicly imagine the other antics that have taken part behind the scenes.

I get tired of being disappointed so I remove disappointing things from my life. Between the soap operas, the visibly absent testosterone expression, and the bitchassness that is now 100% acceptable -flopping, stars getting fans ejected for being fans, regular complaining, team hopping to chase a ring, and xenophobia. I wouldn't be surprised if dribbling eventually gets removed from basketball because blatant travels don't even get called anymore and everyone accepts it. People are not watching because they got greedy. When it was aired at least some of the time there no ratings problem, but when they went to paid service, of course it took a steep dive. Not everyone has money to pay to see the games, and with what they are showing and the antics of the Lakers, and the refs, people are turned off. The real fans don't pay to watch a child's game. And eventually it was gonna come to this, because they killed their true fan base. People are tired of seeing multimillionaires, cry about money and not care about the game. That's why March Madness is taking off, tired of NBA bs.

    8. Stop glazing old stars like Lebron and Steph constantly
    9. Build around young entertaining players like Ant Man.
    10. REMOVE power from the players
    11. Promote more young, up and coming teams like OKC, or the T-Wolves
    12. Stop subsidizing the money vacuum also known as the "wnba" and use the money to get better officials.

The NBA product has simply declined.

Get rid of the corner 3s. Bigs on the baseline can lead to offensive boards. Bigs competing for boards can lead to leak outs and fast breaks (because the defending team won't start with 3-4 guys 35 feet from the basket).

"Season Ticket" which I'm somewhat assuming is the equivalent to The N.B.A. "League Pass" is being sued by its consumers in a current Supreme Court Appeal case for a little over 4 billion dollars to reimburse millions of patrons. So although N.B.A. "League Pass" is "pricey" at or around $250.00 for the viewership of the games, it is a better option because the "League Pass" gives you access to just your favorite team if that's how you select to watch whereas the N.F.L. "Season Ticket" over prices and mandates your selection for all the teams games force feeding you.😎

Stars get all the attention, money, and calls in a way that makes it look like a show. Now, with player empowerment, they even get to pick their teammates and orchestrate their own legacy off the court.
Nowadays, you barely get to handle the ball if you're not a star because stars get calls even if they're having a bad game shooting. It's repetitive watching one or two guys running pick & roll and three guys launching threes every freakin game.
