The best thing F1 can do now to honor Sebastian Vettel is make tough calls about the calendar and organize it to minimize flying miles, make tough calls about racing in certain places, incentivize teams to convert to full renewable energy and also carbon capture not picking one, encourage even more manufacturers into the sport. If they do that, the sport will be a leading light in terms of championing clean energy.
They are chasing money and popularity over health of participating teams so I don't think they will do any of this, the clean fuels is nice though. Also they are already totally controlled by Arab states so it will always be about corruption from now on and how they can influence people minds in ways which can profit the Arab companies like Aramco the most.
@@maximus2536 sadly....but if drivers keep talking about it and the fans all keep talking then the countries will be forced to at least clean their act up during race prep time and then people within the countries will finally fight for themselves hopefully.
@@corpsecoder_nw6746 yes but none of them are taking it to vettels level though, he was almost fighting with sky sports over his tshirt in Hungary, that guy is all in now, yea the tshirt wasn't related to the environment but that's the extent he is going to lol
You gotta love seb, a genuine human being even after being touched with the celebrity and wealth that seem to change so many other people, wish you a happy retirement from racing and hope all you want to change in the world people listen to what you have to say, and help to make the world a better place
I appreciate Seb and know his heart is in the right place, that is why he bothers me less than another driver who preaches from a far higher place than Seb who wishes to meet us on our level and walk the walk. But the countries he needs to talk to…China and India, Russia and developing industrializing nations are where his focus should lie and some of those nations would hang him high from a gibbet should he so much as step in their land and criticize their authoritarian governments. The courage he speaks of needs to he directed there. He is speaking to the choir.
I was privileged to be a part of this livestream. I put down everything l was doing and simply listened to him, nodding my head to what he's saying more often than I thought. God bless him & his family.
I saw the notification when I picked up my phone and by then it was already over so I'm sad I didnt get to see it live but Yeah I agree with everything hes saying and I will forever appreciate everything he stands for
I saw this live and I was so moved that he took a moment that was for him due to his retirement and brought light to this topic, got me emotional and all, he has made a great impact and will continue to do so.
He didn't bring any light to the topic. He just perpetuated a LIE . CO2 doesn't do anything to the climate. 4 out of 10 000 molecules in the atmosphere is CO2 . CO2 is colourless and as such cannot absorb infra red. Cannot block sunlight. The climate has always been changing . Take CO2 out of the atmosphere and you'll have even less green plants. CO2 is pumped into green houses to make the plants grow better and faster. Climate change PR scam is a ploy to rob you of your car and put you into a smart city. That's if you dont' die first from a vaccine. Seb isn't an engineer , or a scientist. He's not qualified to say anything about the climate.
A genuine Formula One race driver influencer... not just a great race driver but a great human being. This guy is the real deal of trying to make the world a better place.
Seb needs to be kept in f1 somewhere whether it be reporting, conducting interviews with drivers and analysis of races. Such a role model Seb! Much love from Australia 🤩
God I love Sebastian Vettel. He could just disappear to a beach and have a party for the next 50 years but he's fighting the good fight. Legend. I'm with you mate. Just stopped eating meat and sold my car. Best things I've ever done!
People of this generation should set Sebastian as role model, a fine kind genuine human being . Ayrton senna is my role model ....guys like this only come once a generation
You are a fantastic, Formula One driver and you are fantastic person as well. I like the friendship that you have had with Lewis. I am going to miss you watching good luck with your next step in life. 😊😊
He's talking about his deep reasons why he is leaving the sport and everyone is just like "hey you gotta come back" 😂 I think myself and many others would want to do the same with money and a voice like what Seb talked about if they had these things, these opportunity. Being concious about this rare power and potential influence people have and even fewer activly using it for something good. I love the self awareness and the awarness for his environment. His personality as a driver and in f1 in generell is one of the best the sport has ever seen.
It's so nice to hear you talk like that, like a normal person. Like Leonardo DiCaprio or Al Gore, you knew this happening (Global warming) because you travel around the world and you see it with your own eyes. I feel so bad about you. It's like knowing that someone it's going to press a button to destroy the whole world and you try to tell this to the people, but no one cares about it. The movie "Don't look up " shows what many of us are feeling. We are going to miss you Seb. Danke
I am sure I am not alone in wishing all the best for the future. I suppose the main social role of and F1 driver is to provide hope and inspiration, entertainment and a certain warm fondness and you have certainly managed to achieve all this in spades over the course of the last 15 years. Right now is probably as good a time for you to move forward and we very much hope to see you in the public eye once more when the time is right and in a capacity of your choosing.
The fact we've got a philanthropist of Vettel's magnitude in F1, who refuses to simply live with hypocrisy is truly a privilege. F1 is historically known as a upscale, snobby atmosphere. Seb broke that, and I truly believe it let some other drivers reflect on their fortune as well.
I’m 33 and try to live like how he’s been trying, but I live in Hawaii so it’s hard to buy food that comes from regenerative farms or at least recyclable packaging which here only drink bottles and cardboard get recycled that’s it. So I spend hours trying to buy food and research how I can support my food sources that make a low impact on this earth and I try to avoid all plastics. My mother knows I’m obsessed with F1 so when I told my mother there’s a driver who turns out to believe in the same values as me she was very surprised. I told her he was retiring and she just contemplated in silence. She doesn’t work as hard as me to reduce my footprint but at least she recycles though I had to teach her she’s been wishcycling. And when I told her about the planet back in 2010, she said those things won’t happen until we’re all dead. I scoffed and said it’s happening NOW! So danke Seb, you’re not alone in trying to make the world a better place and just being an incredible human being
