Schumacher said that he was disappointed that Ferrari didn't allow him to drive for them again. He was really keen to get back to the team in 2010. And he believe he should be cleared to race in 2009. So there is some payback time there from Schumacher

2007-2012 was a special time in F1, where the field was so competitive and almost every season was decided in the final race.
2009 not so much, at least the first half of 2009 that brawn won almost every race and also 2011 rb and vettel really dominant (not comparable to merc dominance but still very dominant)
Hopefully 2022 will bring back that intensity

10 years later: only one title contender stand since the start of the season (and even before the season begin)
Technically there was 4, Lewis had a outside chance to win
true, but that also involved everyone else finishing pretty much outside of a points position so it wasn't looking very likely anyway
Only one contender left when Mercedes launches their car in the winter
This is because of the point system. Someone with 2 wins has 50 points, back then it was 10 for the win. More difficult to get a lot of points

In terms of actual racing this race wasn't much cop at all, but in terms of the championship it was a real nail biter, and Petrov drove the race of his life

Not because seb was going to win. That is what racing is all about, you got to defend when you need too, just as much as overtake when the opportunity presents it self, Alonso was just unable to catch up with him and get by. If I was in p6 and defending my spot, against anyone, I would defend it rightfully so. Every point matters to every individual and team.

Vettel’s championships are much more exciting than Hamilton’s! Sad that Ferrari couldn’t provide him with a car that could be reliable between 2015-2019 to win the world championships! He lost out because of reliability of the car over those 4 years!

Kamui runs (and still drives in) the Toyota WEC team, so he's gone up in the world and he's still eye-wateringly fast! He should never have lost his seat. It was only Toyota pulling out at the last minute that stopped him getting another drive. That was a criminal mistake!
