HRT was in the position that Williams is now, only further back as there were more cars on the grid. And they had no way to improve the car

thats because he finished in front of BOTH Virgin (Marussia or manor or whatever their name back then) cars which makes HRT and Narain leapfrogging Virgin and both of their drivers in WDC & WCC which iirc by then have 15th place as their best results.
too bad he had a post race penalty which relegate Narain behind both Virgin's drivers

Narain’s engineer on the post race made me smile, despite no points, they’re still happy about the p14 (even though after the race narain falls down to p17 because of time penalties) this is why i like backmarker teams the best like hrt, marussia, caterham and many others all over the years.

When it comes to backmarkers, Williams leads with a difference of 20 seconds. That's unfair competition.
I miss Manor, Caterham, HRT and the other backmarkers. Because unlike the other teams who are desperately driving for money, those teams were fighting to avoid the relegation. How tough the competition was at that time.

I was at this race with seats in the partly underwater hairpin. The rain during the red flag was INSANE. I was under a tarp and still was soaked from head to toe. Then we all held our breath as Michael cut his way through the pack and it's like the entire of Circuit Gilles switched support over to watch Jenson's improbable victory.
