So glad to hear this! 🙂I just started last year (at the age of 58) exploring Qigong and Tai Chi (no classes or instructors nearby, so CZcams to the rescue), and I am coming to these disciplines already a fervent barefoot shoe wearer and walker. This helps confirm my decision to abandon heavily padded shoes for barefoot shoewear and convert my walking techniques to barefoot style. 🦶

8 years ago I threw out all my shoes and replaced them all with Vivo Barefoot shoes, including dress shoes I wore to work. They were ugly AF but my feet got much stronger

@@AipingTaiChi I'm definitely a fan. I feel my feet are much stronger and my toes have room to splay out in the wider toe boxes. I can't even stand to wear "regular" shoes anymore. I once absentmindedly put on a pair of my old shoes with heavy padding and arch support, and it felt like I was walking on a tennis ball. Barefoot shoes are getting much nicer looking, too. Check out Xero Shoes, Wildling, Be Lenka, Feelgrounds, Splay, Lems, etc. There's a ton of vendors specializing in barefoot shoes now, and they're all attractive and look like regular shoes.

Your appearace is very smart. I love the way you move your body. It is so soft, so relax, so beautiful. I try to cover your movements and hope one day I am a stress bender

Thank you, this is very helpful. Not just about the physical aspect but gaining confidence from being aware of the relationship between my feet on the ground/planet.. a sense of belonging and the ground is there for me to walk on confidently. I have always felt and been made to feel uncomfortable in what I do and to have the sense of belonging to the earth I walk on is fantastic.. loving it. Thanks again.

I'm so glad! I really struggled with confidence when I was younger and I definitely felt a difference in my own energy and the ownership of my energy when I began studying martial arts and started to feel the rooting of myself into the earth through my feet. It has helped me with my confidence in my adult life

Feiyue has come out with a new shoe called the warrior that has wider toe for a better toe spread. Beware of the many counterfeits and order from kungfudirect

would have been helpful to show some feet strengthening exercises

There are really great feet strengthening exercises on CZcams from channels with videos to transition you to barefoot shoes. In order to transition safely, there's a lot of foot and toes strengthening that needs to happen for folks who have ever used those muscles properly. All the high view videos are great and I've basically just used them for my own foot strengthening routines
