i have 2 comments on this video:
First, it's a really nice race there, and always a pleasure watching your videos.
Second, about the things that are horribly wrong in iRacing, the service is not cheap so things should be a little more optimized and the SLOW DOWN system is one of them.
A Voice has to be raised starting from you guys, and i mean you as all of the famous youtubers out there racing this service.
You guys can do the change so lets make it happen.

Slowdows are still so ridiculous in this game.
It could be the best simracing game out there, but there are too many downsides imo that upsets you and makes no actual sense at all. With all the money they make each year, it should be the best of the best in everything.
Hi Dave, another great race mate. I enjoy the Mazda also, so much fun to race.
i prefer the ACC 3 strikes rule for track cuts BUT it gets abused by folks who use it as a "resource" making damned sure they gain time three times. Not sure if there is a perfect solution but slow downs aren't, in my opinion, the way to go
Slow downs would be fine if it actually reflected about how much time you gained.

Awesome finish, going down the stretch was kick ass , based on previous lap I knew he would over take you and you got him back, he should have overtaken later to stop you from taking it back
'Slow Down! Yield 0.1 seconds within 1.3 seconds' - that was cutting it fine! Shame you didn't have your Tuned-Out shirt on!
Regardless of dubious slowdowns, another brilliant cat and mouse race - love these 'slow car' battles around the ring. Congrats!

I think people forget that at the Nordschleife it's more about racing the track than racing other cars.
It's never worth forcing a pass here as you usually end up crashing out or go off your line and get passed again.
You had a few hairy moments in this one for sure.

good to see there's as much carnage as in split 4. had best and worst times here
Good win doing what you needed to do. Yes you got a little lucky when those cars crashed in front of you to gain 1st position and then almost threw it out with the slowdown but great fight back and you did well to hold of Kjeld. He made that little mistake which allowed you to get back to the lead even though you didn't want it at that stage but you had to take advantage. That last corner incident was just racing. He tried to make it round a very tight corner and had to cut back in to stay on the track. You had nowhere to go to avoid it and were leading anyway so not up to you to give him room. if not for that though you would've gained safety rating and completed a lap without incident.

This is the car I’ve spent 90% if my time driving, and I feel like I’m pretty ok in it now. Even in traffic with a bit of draft and no one slowing me down anywhere at all, I can manage about an 8.08 or so. 8.10 with no draft at all.
I never had any illusions of grandeur, but it’s a little sobering knowing just how crap I am. I’m glad I never found myself in a getaway car with Officer Dave chasing me lol.
Also - it’s all that high class equipment, innit lol.

Love the way the slow down was 1.2 seconds but in reality you lost about 4 seconds
Great race Dave. I had my best and worst races in a long time this past week in the Mazda. I agree with the slow downs need overhauling. Does anyone know what they gauge the time against?

Just the Nordschleife, it won't use the GP track at all. (The logo for the series shows this track layout and the teaser video they put out shows them taking the final corner of the Nordschleife version instead of heading straight to the GP track)

Don't know how you managed to avoid that Coke car, lap 1. Even the sun shines on a dogs ass some days.. Presuming you got so flustered due to that slow down, that you forgot you had a sixth gear travelling down Antoniusbuche, lap 1 :) For that matter you didn't use top gear for the remainder of the race

I didn't push anyone off? No idea what you've seen. Last lap, people weave. Just as Kjeld was doing when I went for the pass
Dave and I had a respectful race. At no point there was excessive weaving or pushing off track. it was a nice and clean battle.

The slowdown implementation of iRacing is just bullshit
1.2 seconds slow down but you need to lose 5 seconds. Meh.
