I helped work on that tractor at the end ! Good to see it finally on the small screen , this looks amazing can't wait to watch !
class job! It's the first live action TV show I worked on, Its really nice that it turned out well. I watched the first episode with the VFX team there last night and its good craic.
I'm getting some excellent, if bizarre, "Wicker Man meets Father Ted" vibes 👍
Really 🤔?
@@MHanifBrohi14 yes.
That's funny.
I'm getting 'Midsommar' vibes.
Easter Wednesday: Humility to Accept the Truth by Sensus Fidelium.
One small trip of Bodkin. A 20 minute adventure.
Looks great. Also you simply gotta love how NF beeps out lines in their own trailer.... On their own YT channel.... 😂
irish is on the rise, give us more irish series please!
The British and Irish humor is appealing to me.
Check out The Boys From County Hell... Grabbers
@@RWRogers don't conflate the two, the irish are far better people than the british

I just can’t wait to see “Will Forte” back. Missed him.
"A true story overheard in a pub" 😂
I was an extra lol - waited 18 months when it was meant to be out last autumn 😂
Where are you, in what scene? It'd be cool to point you out! My niece and great niece were extras in the last Friday the 13th movie, and they were sticking out pretty noticeably...lol.
Are you Irish? I’ll be visiting Ireland this June. First time in Europe
I was an extra aswell!!!! In the nighttime rave scene
Hot Fuzz vibes
It does but like with irishness spread throughout, I mean we love a good tragedy, a good scary tale
Hot fuzz was way better than this
Absolutely loved it, hoping for a season 2
I'll watch it. You got me with the disco ball lights in the tractor! Brilliant 🤣
My Mother likes Ireland and mysteries. Will be glad to watch this with her.
I will definitely watch
Extremely prompt use of St Vincent's Broken Man. Great song
right? i was like wow they must’ve just edited this together
Thank for saving me the bother of trying to find a section of that music long enough to Shazam!
Unexpected! Loved this series. More More More! Please and thank you.
Run of the mill weekend trip to Cork by the look of it, only a lot less squeaky.
can’t wait to see this movie!
Netflix is having an awesome year
Color me intrigued!
Amazing production,,, funny yet dark,,brings the real Irish country side to life, pure Ireland at its best and most realistic,,,yes this is how we actually talk,,,,loved it ☺️❤️🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Tendy is back
Looks great!
I like the opening tune a lot. The singer reminds me of Jarvis Cocker the frontman Pulp. They are this unique pop group from the 90's. I found them after a britpop doc. Jarvis isn't french but has a album of him singing french song with his very distinct northern Yorkshire accent
One of the better series recently, all recommendations 🤩👏👍
Will Forte is criminally underrated. Glad to see him back.
Back? Where do you think he went?? He's been working!
@@commaJim I haven’t seen him in anything really since Last Man on Earth
@@thedavidjscott_he made that MacGruber show. It was 8 episodes. Not as good as the movie but still pretty funny.
You don't understand what underrated means. Stop using the word incorrectly.
This looks great!
It does look good, aesthetically, characters seem interesting and _cant really put in words_ but characters seem lifelike and not cookie cutter formula we see in Hollywood movies where characters have to conform to certain prescribed behaviour.
Looks like FUN! Laughing with the Irish...and not at the Irish! About time too!
Love the St Vincent song
Excellent one ❤
Yerim ben bu İrlandalıları yaa..Ortaokul'da pek çok hocamız kızıl kızıl Irish'lerdi. :o) Fena halde tatlı insanlar. Hele içtiklerinde
Nerede okudun
Will Forte doing a new thing!! I'm happy
A modern version of The Wicker man. Looks to be a fun ride and I really like Will Forte. You should check him out in Last man on Earth.
really really good. authentic and engaging.
Gotta give props to the research department who knew that a peace sign is like flipping someone of in the states.
The peace sign is done with the hand facing forwards. The reverse way of doing it or "flashing the V" which does mean the same as the middle finger in the U.S. is from the Battle of Agincourt in 1415. The French threatened to cut the index and middle fingers off every captured English archer. After the battle, the English archers all waved these two fingers at the French as a way of rubbing it in their faces.
@@kapneradthanks for explaining
@@kapnerad There's actually no evidence to support this, although the romance of the idea means it has wormed it's way into the collective psyche. Probably due to lingering anti-French sentiment and cultural bravado than anything else.
The first real use was filmed in 1901. No record of the gesture exists before that.
@@kapnerad folks in the US do the peace sign forwards and backwards since at least the 90s though?
@@kapnerad I thought the story was that they held up their middle fingers because that’s the one the French threatened to cut off.
thoroughly enjoyed the series!! I guess there could be cultural barrier with the dark (invisible) comedy!! nevertheless this turned out to be a good watch!!!
Looks nice. Will take a look next month.
it's out
Oh looks good and Will is always great!😂
I wouldn't mind a party on that mini truck or whatever it's called 😂
In farming areas, they're called tractors and basically are used to do jobs that in the old days would use harnessed horses.
"This is my podcast, I make the rules." - Well that says it all.
That’s the chic from that show on Hulu . Wonder if that’s getting a second season
This better be good… my name depends on it!
Love the music
st. vincent - broken man
Can't tell if this series is for me or not based on the trailer, but the visuals and aesthetics look damn impressive, especially for a comedy
this looks soo good
Just finished watching this show. It was great
A moça corveira namora com a outra ou não
I'd love to visit Ireland. It looks like a place where one can see the forest for the trees, because there are so few trees.
Interestingly, Ireland used to have over 80% tree coverage before British rule. It got down to an all time low of 1% before Irish independence, and now is back up at 11%.
Excellent trailer. I can’t wait to see the movie
It's a series in NETFLIX
Does this serie have a red scull in somewhere if you watched that on Netflix ?
Why does the audio sound like It was recorded separately? I'm watching in English but it doesn't look/sound right
Bodkin appears to be reminiscent of Black Mirror's "Loch Henry," the second episode of the sixth series within the anthology. "Loch Henry," crafted by series creator Charlie Brooker and directed by Sam Miller, debuted alongside the rest of the sixth series on Netflix on June 15, 2023. This episode delves into the journey of Davis (played by Samuel Blenkin) and Pia (portrayed by Myha'la Herrold) as they embark on the production of a true crime documentary set in Davis's dilapidated hometown in Scotland.
Except it was filmed a year before that screened.
This reads like it was made with chatgpt
@@richardbradburn3016 Yup - I was an extra in it and we filmed in summer and autumn 2022 - that would have been crowd scenes anyway

sending those daily positive vibes from Houston everyone!
Dark comedy? Intriguing. 😎 👍
Plot like “only murders in the building “
Also reminds me of that Jude Law series Third Day
oh this looks great.
I liked the part when will forte acted like will forte from every single will forte acting gig ever !
4 Words And A Number: The Dragon Prince Season 6!
Is Bodkin supposed to be the placename? Because usually here in Ireland, a placename is an anglicised version of the original Gaelic name. 'Bod' in Irish means penis and Kin could be 'Cinn', the plural for heads!
who else still streaming?🙋🤩
Interesting film version of 'Kin'.
Disco Golf Cart just became a life goal.
That was a tractor.
looks cool!
Looks good
wasnt there a (netflix?) thriller movie kinda similar where a british guy and his african/american gf are documentary film makers and he takes her home (to ireland i think?) to his gloomy small town to meet his newly widowed mother whos mega strange, and everyone in the towns a little weird/somethings off. there was a few disappearances or murders that happened that are being pinned on a local weird guy so they start documenting it but they basically unravel a dark secret thats very close to home.. i cannot remember the name but it came out in the last like, 4 years??
black mirror episode
@@NRo2220 yes! thank you
Yes, but this is a comedy and has a different vibe. The story and setting are similar but it looks like the similarities end there. Also, I don’t think anyone in show was “off,” especially because there weren’t a lot of characters in the episode. The best friends father was a mess but because it wasn’t subtle, I wouldn’t say his behavior was “off.” The town was basically a ghost town. Not including the dead people, there were only like five characters. The couple, the guy’s mom, the guy’s best friend and the guy’s best friend’s father.
Don't mind any condescending reviews (Irish TTimes). It's excellent.. ridiculous, a little cliched, but a really good comic mystery / drama.
Kayaknya bagus😮
That's an old version of Scott Manley at 2:07.
The best movie trailers present the story world in 20 seconds so you can turn the trailer off and avoid spoilers
3 actors from the dry which was great ..
I hope you had a satisfactory time and made a satisfactory wage. Just starting the show and it looks great.
❤
Bodkin is like nothing else. Watch it.
Watch wicker man, the old one
We want season 2
Isn't this the same story from BLACK MIRROR? Season 6 Episode 2 : Loch Henry just for reference
I will watch anything with Will Forte
Will Forte is good for mankind.
It truly was a Shawshank Redemption
Last Man on Earth in Ireland!
At first, I thought Dove was Evelyn Claire.
It’s like an Irish Deadloch
I’m from Ireland this some of it came my home village
Looks like a good mystery.........
Is this McGruber goes to Ireland?
Yes
I think Netflix does Bodkin and customers a disservice by labeling this a comedy. People that love the detective or murder mystery genre are not (necessarily) looking for comedy. Bodkin is a better than decent murder mystery, that is best described as, quirky. But definitely, not a comedy.
Couldn't agree more. Luckily I found it very engaging and found myself finishing the series in 2 days. Hope we get more from these 3 characters
Absolutely agree! Loved this series!
I agree
It's more like Broadchurch than it is Only Murders in the Building
I love Will Forte but I feel he's miscast in this
Very Deadloch vibes
looks interesting
So basically just like that Black Mirror episode? Ok...
Lol I was thinking the same thing
It's a rip off
Beat me to it
I thought the samee
Only murders in the building
Can Trixie and Katya review this?
I smell the influence of the cornetto's trilogy here.. Am i alone ?
So... "Only Murders OUTSIDE the Building"?
Are they making fun of all these True Crime podcasts? I am in then! 😁
I loved that they just bleeped out the profanity.
For f**is sake 😂
Then you’re missing out entirely on the movie- we curse like it’s our natural f00king medium
The Wickerman, Irish tour?
Hope it isn't a new flop from Netflix cause I like Will Forte :)
interesting 😮
