Why does this make so much sense?
I have a solution to your Nightmare problem: if a Pokémon with Comatose is afflicted with Nightmare and then loses Comatose by using Transform, it will actually keep the Nightmare volatile. That’s a game-accurate glitch, btw.

Using bad clones in gen 2 also (very occasionally) gets this to happen (the payday effect that is applied allows you to hit the money cap basically instantly)

custom triples reminds me of what was the highest level pokemon a level 1 pokemon could oneshot
i had lv1 huge power mega mewtwo x with its type changed to dark and the item metronome, +6 in every stat and max crit rate with focus energy and machamp's g-max boost with two cherrims with helping hand as partners in the sun using power trip for the 6th time in a row against a psychic/ghost min def min hp -def nature -6 def happiny with dark aura
if i recall correctly it could cleanly oneshot level a 1000 happiny
what didn't exist at the time i made that were Last Respects and Sword of Ruin, which can crank up the numbers much further

Triple battles existed in X and Y, but considering how forgettable those games were, not surprised it was forgotten about xD
As the rare Kalos enjoyer, I must inform you they were actually native to Gen 5. Inverse battles were the Gen 6 introduction
@@RalorPenwatthey originated in gen 5, but there was like, 1(?) triple battle in X/Y. Rotation battles are the one which never made it past gen 5 iirc.

I fucked it up 😅 speed increased 3 times from autotomize and no retreat but then reduced 2 times from syrup bomb and once from tar shot, I could have used another tar shot to fix it but I didn't notice until it was too late
@@KingTheLuck ahh makes sense! I was looking out for it since you mentioned No Retreat but didn't realise the new Syrup Bomb move drops speed - thanks! And great job on the rest of the status ailments though!

if you set up custom battle you can use any pokemon even though it’s in a “future-existing” pokemon. it’s quite simple. custom battle doesn’t check for meeting any rules because…there are no rules in custom battles.

@@Lyoko.G triple battles are actually fun, the main reason why it got disposed of was bc of how laggy it was in Gen6, it was really really bad, you had the likely chance of freezing or something. Either there was so much information being loaded or there was too many sprites on the screen on top of terrible bandwidth. Gen5 triple battles when it was first introduced is obviously different bc it was 2D. Also, Rotation Battles were a pretty cool concept in Gen5, I hope that could be brought back maybe. Different battle modes would be really cool. Rotation Battles is like single battles but more switching, or rotating lol.
@@stealthgamer4620 I remember having a local triple battle once with my cousin and man did it struggle with at least one big legendary on the field. gen 7 is very mean to the old 3ds line, even battle tree singles struggle on mine and any (IN GAME) double/multi battle is a lag fest, triples would probably explode the entire thing
@@Depressed_Dandelion I’ve never had a problem with SM and USUM in Battle Tree, but I played on 2DS, so idk how much the hardware is different or improved upon bc there’s a lot of old 3DS out there.
