  • Warning: graphic video. A CBS News crew witnessed South African police gunning down children in a 1985 report from South Africa. The report sparked international condemnation against the apartheid regime and heightened sanctions against the South African government. The members of the CBS News crew recall the story that revealed the brutality of apartheid and caused them to be kicked out of the country.

A video showing coloured and Indian people actively fighting in apartheid is rare, most videos are never shown, which leads many to believe that Apartheid was a Black and White thing only.

Half the police force was black, but it doesn't fit the narrative that all blacks hated Apartheid and were constantly trying to overturn it. Similar situation I found in Algeria. During their war for independence hundreds of thousands of Algerians fought in the French army and police, but they are forgotten to history because, again, it doesn't fit a narrative.

That's true. For instance, the Front Algérie Française, a right wing pro French organization that supported French control of Algeria was founded by an Algerian Muslim named Said Boualam, and at one point it had a million members, almost half of whom were Algerian Muslims.
Also, the Rhodesian Army was mostly Black, with the exception of the Selous Scouts and Rhodesian Light Infantry. Even Ian Smith was popular in Zimbabwe decades after the end of Rhodesia. In 2002, at a speech at the University of Zimbabwe, he received a standing ovation for his condemnation of Mugabe. Once when he returned to Zimbabwe at Harare International Airport, he was supposed to be arrests, but immigration officers refused to do so and he was cheered on. When he would walk the streets of Harare, Black Zimbabweans would queue up just for a handshake and an opportunity to wish him well. I even saw on Facebook, a Zimbabwean page commemorating his birthday, and 90% of commenters being Black Zimbabweans expressing how much they miss him.
You're right. People are buried in history when they don't fit a narrative. It's not all black and white, a lot in the middle.

The white people here get treated the same way that black people do in America. There was a phase started maybe a couple years ago ( pretty sure still going on ) where white farmers are being murdered. Not to say blacks hate whites, I'm white and all my friends are black, it's just a certain group of people, like the trump supporters vs Hillary Clinton supporters, the one group is only like this, so overall the country is pretty normal now, no hate or anything

The right-wing should not critique the left, and especialy communists regarding economic policy, cultural philosophies and corruption.
Not when the right-wing has the most irrational and destructive economic model ever to exist (capitalism), not when the right-wing has had some of the most destructive, irrational, anti-scientific and harmful social beliefs to ever grace the planet, not when the right-wing's leaders and controlers (the capitalists) exploit the labour value of the masses, steal it,and subject them to the whims of the profit-driven market.

      Exatamente.

I was a kid in the American Heartland back when this was going on but I remember watching a show on HBO with my dad and they showed this incident (or another incident just like it, can't remember for sure) and I remember thinking, even as a child, wow look at the way the rocks are tearing up the windows on that truck! Those kids were out to KILL someone. I remember my dad looking disgusted and talking about the media twisting things. Dad was right. And everyone in our neighborhood at one time or another would talk about that documentary and say the same sort of thing. This was back before the internet was accessible to the majority and we got everything from the TV and newspapers. So when any controversial program aired, the whole neighborhood would be talking about it for some time. Same thing with that old show called "The Day After" which was about a nuclear assault by the Soviets on the U.S. Anyway, what strikes me now is how the vast majority of us here in America seemed to KNOW that South Africa's government and the Boer people in general were being subjected to a leftist propaganda campaign of hideous proportion. But if you were to watch the news in U.S. it always appeared that the majority of Americans were against the current South African government. It was all bullshit. Mountains of money were being poured into this anti-South African media campaign by powerful leftists and they did everything they could to create the illusion that the American people were steadfastly opposed to the apartheid policy. And of course they got most of the Hollywood stars and popular music artists of the time to go along with it. Ninety percent of those people were limousine liberals all too happy to jump on board the propaganda wagon. Looking back on it now, it was just sickening.
The sad thing is that most White South Africans, particularly the Boers, view Americans in general with nothing but contempt now. I can't say that I blame them. They saw the same propaganda that made it appear we were all against them. I hope that they can begin to see through that smokescreen and understand what really went on over here in the States. They are our brothers and sisters and now they are suffering. They are literally being raped, tortured and killed due to the actions of our government and the various governments of Europe. If there is anything you can do to help these people, be it donations to charities that directly benefit them or even traveling there yourself and somehow helping their cause directly, please do so.

But that was just too much like hard work! Today Black is Black, not Zulu or any other Nation but Black. This Country is more divided today than at any point in it's History. Coming back to the Coloureds, in the old days the the focus was on building the Country, not recognising and acknowledging any people whom couldn't help to do just that wasn't a priority.

Simple. Just a few BLM Antifa riots in their own neighbourhood and suddenly they look at this and realise that the Fake Media were lying but they never cared because it did not happen in their own neighbourhoods.... Now they wish for Rittenhouse by the dozens...

It's ugly but so is reality. The South African Police Force were acutely aware of how thin a line separated social order and total anarchy in their country. Blacks in SA had far and away a higher standard of living than anywhere else in Africa. They way things are and the way they ought to be rarely line up. The inexorable truth is that SA went from a first world to a third world country almost overnight and EVERYONE is the worse for it.
