For clamping up, try popping it in horizontal in the jaws with the pinch point straight down the axis of the vice. You can then use the tilt to lean it forward. That should be easier.

I tend to pick these pin stack down, since that is its natural orientation when used. That takes me out of my comfort zone too, which helps advance my skills.

I love Abus locks, the only one that is cuter is the Baby Abus, it's tiny and has a nice keyway. Nice picking!

I got it open after 45min. Now I will try one more time. Pretty hard until u know about the spooled pins :D

Sometimes I need proof I‘m a good picker… So I lock myself out of home and pick my way in :D (living in Germany with these annoying European locks… 6 Pins and paracentric as hell is standard)

Very nice! I don't really like the feel of Diskus style locks. Well, some of them anyway lol
Double-bolted shackle could just mean that the cylinder isn't connected directly to the locking mechanism and that there's a cam lever that clicks in place when you lock it. You can clearly hear two clicks if you turn the cylinder slowly while locking it. I have a Double pack Wilko-branded version of this. Oddly, the larger style of this lock doesn't have the two clicks. Would be interesting to have a milled out version of both sizes to see the differences.
It's really frustrating how easy you make it look. I hope someday I'm as proficient

If it is still the same vice as long time back = you see the brand in the old videos, it is a rolson vice. It is menny brands that have this design on vice👍 like amtech etc.
