Dibakar is a very intellegent man ... He really understands the Indian film industry and found a nice way of making movies he wants to make ....

How honestly Dibakar talks about his craft. I dare Vipul Shah or someone else to earnestly talk about the films they make and make sense.

Just as an aside-why is the audience clapping and applauding? Its just a panel discussion. The audience's response is way too dramatic.

She IS staying on topic, as much as anyone else. The topic of the panel is encouraging creative in the industry. Chill out.

Only Dibakar is 'the dude' here..rest were all duds...There is no such thing as intelligent 'film-maker'...There are intelligent people who makes films..and at most times the intelligence gets reflected. The only 'intelligent' person in this panel was Mr. Dibakar Banerjee. His views were crystal clear and made lot of pragmatic sense. The rest including Sonia Singh were so inept..which highlighted Dibakar's intelligence all the more...
    @ rajpreetsingh04: now its 1119 :)

why the fuck is kiran rao going off topic the whole time? if they wanted to talk about other mediums of art they would ask you about it!

He's not making much pragmatic sense at all. He's blaming the media for selling Bollywood gossip, as though they're doing it on a whim, and they just need to decide to stop, and they'll stop. That's pie-in-the-sky bitching. The media sells what it sells because it makes money. Kiran Rao is talking of democratizing independent cinema, which is a lot more useful. Doing something yourself is a lot easier than trying to convince people who are making money to stop doing the thing that is making it.
