The part about his dad in the 'land of nowhere' was so poignant. There comes a time when you can clearly see your parent's struggle and he encapsulated that so beautifully.

Shah rukh talks of the emptiness he feels within, which he cannot fill no matter how hard he works, no matter what he does.....
I wish someone could tell him, this emptiness that he is aware of, is present within everyone, and is a spiritual longing which will not be filled by anything else. It is very important for the Khan to explore a spiritual path, not religious path, but a spiritual path.
He shud explore spirituality via by Isha foundation / Isha yoga, and embrace the emptiness

his problem is he has not accepted who he really is, this whole pretence is what makes him anxious. he has been in the limelight for too long to know who he really is. he does not belong to himself anymore, he is the property of the masses. thats the price one pays for being an icon, and as a superstar you are always looking for praise and acceptence. once he lets go of that, he will know who he really is. his life is a window dressing. and i think his past is a big factor of him not letting go of the present.

@@haroonkapoor8233 he has said in many interviews that he doesn’t want to end up like his sister whose taken their parents death very hard and she got depressed. He instead focused on acting and stayed busy it was the only way for him to cope with not getting himself down about his parents. So I am just guessing he didn’t really grieve and mourn for their passing instead he just kept himself busy all his life and kept his mind occupied so he would have to really think about how they died so young.

I feel he has lost his "self" behind a cloud of concepts. He know himself through analysis, not through direct knowing. Is there such a thing as direct knowing, where one knows who they are not becuase its something they concluded but beucase its so obviously clear. It makes sense that he choose to live a life of service than the fulfillment of his own wants becuase he has none, all he has is an idea of who he is. I might be wrong bcoz this too is analysis.
