    OMG. I just made your fried rice and chicken recipe. My husband is Nigerian. He said this rice sent him back home. He had two servings and was looking for more. I had to hide the pot from him lol

      Faith Adogame pls is there no need to parboil the Rice first with ordinary water to wash out the starch before cooking with the chicken water?

      amarachi afulukwe The way the rice sticks to the bowl as she pours it in, I'm sure she rinsed it before putting it in! A couple of rinses is fine, but of course you can also boil it if you want. Just don't over-boil it or the rice will come out mushy.

      The problem is not speaking English differently...The problem is faking an accent. The problem with Nigerians is that we change out accent and it sounds awful most times when you don't do it correctly

    Simple and good food. So much Nigerian cooking is so similar to Southern cooking, and we all know why. A friend of mine was in the Peace Corps, and was stationed in Niger, in a village about fifty miles from Niamey. He brought back a recipe called Wendy Bundu. I'd love to see you guys make it here. We had no Bundu leaves, of course, so he used Turnip greens, which he said were the closest thing in the US.
