- Hello foodieswelcome to veg food manual.Today we shall learn avery simple & much tasty Mangalore style coconut chutney which can be had with idly,dosa,poori,rice ,chapati and what not but this tastes best with neer dosa .We hope you all like that.
Ingredients:
1 tsp cococnut oil
1/8th tsp fenugreek seeds
1 onion
10-15 red chillies
1 cup grated coconut
1/4th tsp hing
tamarind
salt to tatse
For tempering.
coconut oil.1 tsp mustard seeds,hing,curry leaves,red chilli

You can skip it. We make it without onion in Mysore/Bangalore side. You can add a very small piece of jaggery. We call it menthe-menasinakayi chutney. It will be yummy.
What about garlic? Can I add garlic to the chutney?
