Hi LEGENDS! Please let me know what you think of this new format✍️. I am trying to optimise my microphone settings, camera settings and overall editing for future uploads. Hope the info I give is helpfull and gives you more insight on how to drive a racecar in the wet. Thanks all❤
I think your voice is still not really clear, it's clear but sounds like you are talking at a distance.
I'm sure simracers and motorsport enthusiasts love everything that immerse you in a racing car driving. The details explained by the driver himself are always a plus!
Yeah Dirk , that is an awesome format and insight to your racecraft and car.
Thanks mate.
I like the display with Gaz and brake input but I prefer the POV angle! Like the commentary ans would like more full races!
Love this format!
Dirk,
Your English is really good. That is not a barrier to this video at all, and it won’t be a barrier in future videos either. Your explanations and descriptions were clear and concise. Amazing to hear what goes through a pro driver’s mind as you process what you see and drive. There really is so much going on.
Amazing.
Thanks a lot!
This is the type of content I love, onboard plus Porsche adds the dash overlay. Keep it up. Warm regards from Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Thanks legend!
Beautiful run! And yes give us more of the same with commentary
Alright mate!
Damn!! The scream of that Porsche! This is exactly what I love seeing... kindly make more of these pls ❤💯
Love this. Having the direct driver feedback on why they took certain lines, braking, throttle etc is great. Adds an extra layer to an already awesome onboard.
Would love to see more videos like this it really helps me in sim racing thanks dirk again ❤️ (also your English is really good dw!)
Awesome to hear mate! Hope I can help many simracers with this🫶
Sim racing doesn't let you appreciate the sketchiness of racing in the wet and taking different lines. I enjoyed the video gives a bit more perspective into your thought process then the normal videos and can't complain getting extra racing content
Thanks for watching🙏
Love these kinds of videos, please do more of these man.
Great driving as always! 👌
Awesome driving on that wet track man. Very interesting to hear your commentary and talk about your different lines. Good luck out there 👍
Thanks mate!
It looks good. All the info on the screen plus the comentary. I like this format. P3 or P4 out of 32 is Top Tier. Go DSC!
Thanks!!
Dirk, Love content like this please keep them coming, as an amateur sim racer, your commentary is invaluable, a big fan dude, keep it up
Very usefull master-class. Not out-in-out, but stay in the middle of the track before corner and begin braking there. I'll try it in Gran Turismo.
Thank you man, and good results for you on track!
Dirk, you're one of my favorite racing drivers simply for posting so much contect from your racing, thanks alot!
Thanks a lot!
@@dirkschoutenracing I really hope we get more racing content soon
thanks for the excellent content - love your onboards!
Thanks for watching them ;)
Another great video Dirk, enjoyable and informative. Thank you.
You did 4 laps, within 2 tenths of each other, on a wet, 7km track! I'm not a racing driver, but that is very impressive. Love the videos...all of them! Pedal cam would be awesome
bloody awesome matey . good luck in the series 👍
GREAT
Thanks!!
Love these longer type of videos and the explanation is always a plus. Love the content and I think you should raise your microphone level for the next video but apart from that everything is great!
ah yes great breakdown video, keep them coming, just one small thing to add to the video instead of rear cam we get pedal cam and visible steering wheel 😉 but definitely keep the throttle/brake graph
Ah finally, I was looking how to figure out how to drive my porshe gt3 at spa when it rains!
For some reason nobody made a tutorial
Nice to hear your thoughts and approach to the lap....and it's awesome to hear 2:07 :D:D:D
Thanks for doing this breakdown! We demand team merch!
Awesome mate!
I really love the RPM and Throttle/Brake overlay. Keep up the good work brother!
Really nice job men 😅just amazing views a sound of the engine an transmision i want to see more for sure its really nice
I really enjoyed this video! Thanks Dirk!
🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱 One of my favorite riders 🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱
wha wha wha! If I'd been expecting that ! wha, that's huge, driving lesson at home.
With your Fov and your driving skills we're going to be pros (on ACC of course) at SPA, and in the rain ! Braking points, Hud with Brakes and throttle, what a pleasure. You're the best Dirk 🤩Stay on course Dude
This track is wonderfull and Very Fun for you and us
Love the commentary, so much to be learned :)❤
Awesome💪
Amazing stuff. Thank you.
Great video, honestly looks terrifying!!
Grtjs.
Awesome, thanks for sharing it, so interesting!
I like how you embrace the Durk Shooten :)
Hahah yeah I like Durk Shooten, no way I can pronounce Dirk Schouten in English😂
Happy to hear the voice of the man himself
Thanks mate!
Awesome content, a toast to all your future championship wins 🏆
Thanks man!!
fire video keep it up ma boy. Drive safe out there 🤙
Great vid Dirk!
nice driving, nice content, love the Pcup series, see you in some iR race :)
14:45 The car in front of you races on a different track layout. 😁😆✌️
amazing brother love the insight of your thinking loving it brother eau rouge and radeon in wet is epic and immense
Thanks!!
Very good! Bravo Dirk 👏 To be honest I was expecting a little bit more punishment by driving so much on the kerbs, but instead the driving felt very smooth in video, car planted and no spin whatsoever. Well done.
Thanks! Car felt really good
Do more of this… please!
Great video. You have no problem being clear in English... like most Dutch, your English is just great. Lekker! And dank u wel for all your videos.
Thanks Paul!!
Love this :)
excellent video. Great job
Thanks mate!
Awesome video 🫡
Hey man, I love this format because of the emersive feeling we get as an audience. But one question I've got is that why do most drivers I see with a throttle overlay pump the accelerator on downshifts?
1st From Dirk's Biggest Fan :D
Thank you🫶
Siiiiick!!!!!
By you replying to this comment I could technically say that I spoke to a professional racing driver! You are an amazing driver!
Awesome mate! Enjoy your day❤️
@@dirkschoutenracing You Too! 😁
That sickst gear though...
If not in real, Driving in AC2 inspired by such content.
Great onboard! It's very interesting to see how the wet conditions change the racing line. I'm curious about the braking meter on the overlay. Even on the hard braking zone there is just a little braking according to the meter, but how's that in real life? I mean, how much weight are you actually putting on the brakes?
Love the content and racing. Found your channel 2 days ago and watching your onbiards is the only thing i do. I am 26 and i used to drift but you got me poisoned with racing. I would appreciate if you give me a simple tip what is the thing to do to get there. Is getting a car and license with my own expenses only way? Much appreciation❤
Awesome! I would start with simracing and if you can afford getting a racing license than definitely go for it👊
@@dirkschoutenracing Tysm! Keepon doing good work. Hopefully my dream comes true and we’ll be standing side by side on the grid one day..😊😂
5:08 I died :D Pozdro666 Dirk!
You are a legend in making Dirk!🎉
How do you feel real life pcup compared to iracing?
I love watching your CZcams videos, You’re one of my favorite riders 🇸🇾 🇳🇱 🫶🏻
Thanks man!
Vou competir contra você no Gran Turismo 7. 😁. Gosto muito dos seus POV, continue assim.
Hello. Do you have radio between you and your team during the races?
leuk format maat
Thanks maat
I like this style of commentary!
Can you also add speed to the overlay? I see its there on the dash but not on the overlay!
Hi Dirk. Can you tell me how you got into racing in the Porsche cup ? What was your „journey“ your path.
Is that the transmission & differential whinning like that?
and that's with no ABS...! 🤘😲
💪
Cheers mate, could’ve used this 3 hours ago…
Hahah oops, did you have a race at Spa?
@@dirkschoutenracing No, had my first wet race ever (in Formula car) and some tips would’ve been nice…
Thanks for another great video! Does Carrera Cup Benelux use the unsilenced Supercup exhaust? How much difference do the different silencer options make inside the cockpit? Other than the gearbox, what is it you hear in the cockpit (intake, exhaust, mechanical engine sounds)? Also thanks for solving the mystery of how to pronounce your name, Mr. "shoo-ten". Someone just needs to tell the commentators to stop calling you "skow-ten". Thanks, again!
We use the same unsilenced Supercup exhaust and it is freaking loud inside the car. We have a helmet and earplugs to prevent eardamage. We hear pretty much all sounds and especially the gearbox.
@@dirkschoutenracing Thanks for replying 👍. Is it noticeably louder in the cockpit than the silenced exhaust you used in GT Cup Open last year? Thanks again.
Are you actually blipping the throttle when you downshift is it just measuring the rev
Nope it’s all automatically done by the car
👍🏻👍🏻🔥
💪
👍👍👍👏👏👏
How much does it cost to race in gt 3 categorys and do sponsors pay for your equipment and gear? Do you really need to be rich to race professionally or can you use sponsorships as leverage?
Pls explain one thing. Everyone says that in wet condition you should use different ideal line. Not inside but more like outside line. But you are using practically the same line like in the dry condition. Why is that?
I use mainly the wet lines, but not for every corner. Depends on the corner and how much traction you have.
Hoi Dirk, two words = M A C H T I G P R A C H T I G man !
keep the vids coming !
👍🤘😎
Top man! Thanks voor je feedback, ga eraan werken. Les Combes is inderdaad zeer moeilijk, je moet een goede flow vinden daar💪

Did you ever study Ayrton Senna or Michael Schumacher for driving in the rain? They were once known as king in the rain and rain master.
Telemetry... noice
If you're okay with sharing, I was wondering how much money you make on average a year. Obviously you're not gonna be making F1 money, but these aren't small races either. I was also wondering how competitive/hard it is to get into GT3, or even less well-known type of racing because I am very interested in it, and I consider it a dream job, but I'm American (not nearly as popular here as it is in Europe) and I just guessed that you have to be a very good driver for teams to want to hire you
i think that you are not paid for racing, but the opossite, racing in general is blackhole for money
Can I ask a question? How much you earn from racing? And also from CZcams?
I don’t earn anything from racing, still rely on sponsorships to back my season costs. I do earn a bit from CZcams.
@@dirkschoutenracing like how much the sponsorship gives money to you? Any hint?
Why do I have to be the first car you overtake on the video? 😂
So we can hop to your channel and have a chasing point of view of Dirk's lap off course!😜
Hahah oops, hope you enjoyed it
@@abjab0179 Fair point :) For this one we were just coming out of the pitlane for a warm up lap (@dirkschoutenracing jumped the gun a bit fast calling it an overtake :p ) and I don't have the videos anymore. But an onboard battle sounds like a good idea for next time :)
Sims don’t really seem good at replicating wet track conditions. It always seems to have too much grip compared to reality
Definitely, the sims are not good at replicating real life wet conditions
Step 1: Don't open umbrella inside car
