1:23 That poster is literally on the wall next to my computer. Of all the Countach videos I've seen, this has been the only one to feature it. So cool.
I can still remember the first time that I saw a Countach in real life. Driving home from a week skiing I entered a gas station and spotted something very low with a huge amount of rubber, so I instinctively parked behind it.
I got out of the car to have a better look and it was breathtaking, literally.
It was the first and only time that I was that much impressed by just the look of a car.

5:56 I've had this happen to me twice with my Skyline R34 GTR. First the solder joints on the MAF's, then the solder joints on the alarm system. The MAF's would limit the RPM to 2400 and the alarm system would shut the car off while driving. Edit: 3 times. First one was the solder joints on the Boost Pressure Sensor. Was just annoying seeing the false read-out on the MFD.
I loved the Countach as a kid, it was "the" car back in the day. I got to drive one for long enough to know that I can't drive one. Nothing to do with skill, I simply don't fit. Tiny offset footwell, head on an angle to fit under the roof... Made for people 5'10" at the most.
I remember this car and the sugar baby showing up at the Walt Whitman High School parking lot in Bethesda, MD, in the late 80s.

150 for a countach, huh that was actually reasonable, especially for a kit car with a ex ferrari engineered engine in it that would have problems like that when tied to a 1980's Chryslter fuel injection system, as the fuel injection system in particular is known for having old computer problems, like they get so bad its actually easier for someone to make a new board for it, which I saw an old italian hand that was working on them actually do and was successful with in NH, hell I half wonder if lazy Game Reviews should have a countach show up to his place so he can work on restoring the resistors lol
like if anyone would know old tech and how to get it working, its him, actually I half wonder why no ones tried just that really, given that stupid tech wasnt isolated just to lambos, a ton of the older cars, porsches, bmw's all things with computers like that have that problem now.
which is kinda why the older carbed only cars are kind of a small mercy even in the italian world, as you can just switch them to something modern without changing anything
as they had detuned them with milder cams to get the injections to work right back then, as fuel injection was kinda like power brakes, you had to take some of the hotness of the car out to get the vacume and the diaphrams to work right
and those damn K bosh systems in particular, great when new, but lookout when they hit the 15 year mark, and on some even new they were junk, like on the guy I bumped into whos parents had a rare US spec Audi Ur Quattro, like one of the very first in period, like loved the car, but the damn system wasnt worth a damn
which reminds me I need to look up that rally school in NH and see how they got on with restoring theres lol
