Ford story at 2:08 - can confirm. Once when I was 17 or so I accidentally started our family’s Ford Windstar with our Taurus keys… I only realized this when the key literally fell out of the ignition and the van was running with the keys laying on the floor mat! 😆

Love it. Imagine being able to lose that kind of money per year because you can't be bothered to keep track of your shit and just sort of shrug your shoulders at it? If only someone could have made a device he could keep in his pocket to help him keep track of things.
I wish I had so many cars that I don't realize 12 are missing per year.
Had a customer come pick a car up once to find out dvla had clamped it 1 hour before, new owner had taxed it 2 hours before, few phone calls and the customer sitting around all day they came and unclamped it 😀
Got a solution for you Sam, just put an Apple AirTag underneath every vehicle. You now know where all your cars are 24 hours a day. Even the stolen ones!
Or like buy or rent a lot or factory to store then and stop randomly parking them in streets

Had a guy park his car where he shouldn't - "I'll only be a minute". 30 mins later, we drove it 5km away and left it for him to find. Another guy parked in the wrong place - "I'll only be a minute". So we lifted it onto the top of a container with the forklift. Left it there all day - "Sorry, too busy to get it down".
"The forklift driver will be by, in a minute!"
Just last night, a guy in a crappy Jaguar took up two parking spots at a very busy restaurant. I nosed in to about an inch away from his rear bumper and went in to eat. About 20 minutes later, he was angrily going table to table looking for the owner of my beater truck. I was in the restroom when he asked at our table, and no one fessed up. He was fuming when we walked out a half hour later. I just quietly climbed in the truck and pulled away, smiling at him the whole time...
You don't lose the cars. You simply "temporarily misplace" them. I did that before with my car once. Took me three days to find it. :)

i have had that trouble... i even some times dream that i have park a car somewhere and then i wake up and i go looking for my cars to see if its still park there and guess what happen most of time i had sold it many years before or never own it in real life.. i have had like 20 cars at same time and i dont even run a scrap yard haha
i have had cars stolen and even had cars that i just like to forget that i own , i left one car like 300 km from my home as it broke down then i was trying to trade it away and as i park it next to the main road where some farmer keep his farm stuff with key in it and i would have not gone to get it back if i had just remember to take the number plates off that is only reason i called a tow truck to pick it up 2 months later and i had it drop at my friend grandparents house and get it sold online as it already had the key in it.
one of cars that i have "forgot" is sitting in impound lot and that is most expensive car i do own but i have gone like three times to pick it up and park it somewhere but it got ghost mechanical issue and i have just given up

i once bought a 360 3 speed manual trans circle track duster that was parked in a farmers pasture,back in id guesstimate 95 or 96
it had a really good motor built trans and rear,but had been stuff in the corner and needed the front cage cut out and redone.
was Deffo worth acquiring,for parts or redo.
i didnt get any racing history/backstory,just me stopping when i finally saw the farmer out in the field near it,
i bought it paid for it promised id be back in a few days,he grunted and said get it outta here.
well........in 2005,
when i went back down south to visit an old Friend,Dwight Williams,i drove by that same pasture and remembered that i was supposed to pickup that duster...LOL

Agree with the Ka love. Mk1 SportKa’s were actually a blast to drive, dare I say, not far off the Puma for smiles per mile. Shame most of them rotted away (quickly, even by fords poor standards).

I know a guy who runs a business importing cars from Japan to the U.K… The place the customers come to view the cars (by appointment only) isn’t where they’re kept, they’re on a huge field a few miles away.
