Brian & Roger sum up the Wembley Stadium weekend of July 1986
/ queenofficial - Hudba
What a great band and every member so special in their own way. One of a kind. Never again. Thank Godesse all this great music was recorded and saved for us. Thank you as long as man live.
10:34 john daecon omg he fucking rape that bass line.. fucking best bassist of all time ever..
Man I wish I was there, rather than watching it on the internet
Freddie deserves the crown that he wears at the end, my opinion the best rock performer ever although he was an excellent performer with whatever he did. Few comes close but he was the best. I was very sad the day he died but he left us with an amazing gift of music. You are a legend., thank you for what you gave us. R.I.P.
Freddie was one of a kind...the legend, always and forever
How nice is Brian May. Such a lovely man.
Agreed. He comes across as a lovely bloke (as well as a mega-talented guitarist). Our Brian is probably the Roger Federer of rock! xx
Well I don't know about that I think in an interview with is wife he actually said he was really different from the calm person he seems to be. I guess he as well is a great pretender
Yes
John Deacon rocks in those shorts he wears on stage!
queen has been probably the most democratic band in the world, four members contributing all of them with songs, playing and singing, with no changes of members in all their story. A remarkable feat, probably due to the touch of class of the Doctor and the graduate in biology.
metacosmos Dr Deacon is a PhD, too, in electronics. He was as vital as any of the other three.
@@hannyhawkins7804 Good, i didn't know, very good for Doctor Deacon, those three May, Deacon and Taylor were learned people, and this was why they got to keep the band united so many years without changes and with respect for each other, not like Deep Purple which was the absolute opposite sample.
you quite not find another band with 4 so sophisticated and talented musicians
Sir doctor Brain May a doctorate in Astrophysics not biology
Brian May. Played guitar with Queen. Then went back to academia and got his PhD. And then played guitar on the roof of Buckingham Palace for Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee.
This man is a bonafide fucking DEITY.
I think a CBE (which he has) is well deserved: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_May
Absolutely
Matthew Gaunt you even didn’t mention that he build is own -unique- guitar
I think if Freddie did a concert now he would be disappointed by the amount of fans watching him on stage through the camera screens of their mobile phones. All he would see is a crowd of smartphones for faces. It's such a shame. I understand record a little moment or two to enjoy later, but people literally record the whole show and are ultimately missing out on the overall experience of being there.
"Darlings put your bloody phones away"
Neqver no mobiles could take the place of being in there with him.because you see him sweating his guts out ..the magic was breathing the same air as him
.
Nonsense. Freddie always embraced new technology. Knowing how many concerts Queen did and how many of them are properly recorded, those phone videos would be a blessing now. I would give anything for a poor video of Freddie's last performance. And there are none.
I think you're right. It used to exist and lived moments, today you archive them .. It is sick, awareness of being confirmed by social media. Unfortunately - we have different times, but the legends - remain the same and we have the opportunity to notice the differences. Regards! Mark

@@paullaup5475 spot on haha
today's "groups" and "pop stars" can't hold a candle to Queen, they held their audience by sheer talent, not by silly gimmicks
I have just Kissed your comment! So true!
they held their audience by sheer heart attack
Roger Taylor was brilliant live with his back up vocals and his part in Under Pressure
I lived in Wembley at the time and you could see the Stadium from our back garden and hear the concerts as well, not to clearly but you could tell what song was being played, it was great. I remember hearing Queen's concert and being gutted because my parents wouldn't let me go because I was a bit young. Someone invent a time machine please!
time punk floyd
Sean, I am from Dollis Hill and me and my dad went to both gigs. I was 11 at the time. We walked home after the Saturday. We got totally soaked, but it was so worth it! We used to hear all the concerts from our house. Live Aid is the first I remember, but Queen, who are my favourite band along with Zep, The Who, Purple and all those guys, they were the first and best gig I attended. So powerful. I was also at Freddie's tribute gig in 1992. We were so lucky to have lived so near....
OH MY GOD!! im just glad I was born 4 years after he died haha I envy you
I was at Freddie's Tribute concert, too. All the way from Buenos Aires, Argentina, for that very special and unforgettable occasion.
Harry Warburg You see, being older must have some advantage!
Still got my ticket stub from that Saturday show , it still lives with me to this day and I got my queen sweatshirt too :)
Got my stub too...
Wow! That's amazing! Can u show us a pic of those?
got his wembley jacket x should i wear it down high street :0)
Omg. Freddie tu eres lo mas grande y maravilloso del universo
Outstanding. I always get emotional when it comes to Queen. Rest in peace, Freddie.
Alexander Dinesen The same with me.
And me
And me.
And me.
me 2 :(@@debasisyou
I was growing up without parents. Then i heard Queen and they become some kind of. When i was feeling sad i was listening to Queen and there was another world, a better world and i became a musican myself and it works till today. my success is the result of Queen. Thank you guy's. Thank's from germany.
Michael Treser Me too! we are the champions and don't stop me now is my spirit songs. Their songs lift me up everytime. So much love for these guys.
I can relate to that.
Michael Treser das ist ja wunderschön. Musik hat eine gewaltige Macht. Ich freue mich wie sie auch Menschen zusammenbringt.
Grüß dich
You could say that it’s a kind of magic
Good for you man. Great comment.
Weird how so many incredible bands were around at that time. And within bands like this were so many legendary key people. It is like someone put together a supergroup, only nobody did, they just found themselves together anyway.
I have cancer, and it is a terminal kind. Whenever I start feeling a bit down I like to watch Queen in concert and it brightens me up again.
Am sorry to hear this
But u could
Just pray to god
To let you speak and meet Freddie
Up in heaven one day
❤️
I hope u r not suffering too much
If u feel u r in too much pain
Just ask ur dr for morphine
No seriously
The bond and respect these guys have for each other is just incredible. I have watched their interviews and they truly are really involved with how the band goes. Despite Deaky's no longer in the limelight I think he is still their finance manager or something. I think John is still very much involved, just dont wanna be around cameras.
The four are equally great. Each playing each part so well. Without one of them they will not be the same. Queen the greatest
A great video! Never forget Freddie. BEST singer ever!
The best band that ever lived!
Agreed!!!
Arguable... There's bands like AC/DC and Iron Maiden... But they're definitely of similar caliber.
Not forgetting GnR in their day but Queen undoubtedly rocked and Axl and Elton's duet at Wembley was brilliant
I have to go with Led Zeppelin personally, though Queen are a very, very, very, close second.
@@michaelangeloh.5383 How many time did you see Queen -v- AC/DC?
wembley 86 and live aid 85 it were the best concerts in the world!!
Knebworth was pretty good too. The original Queen's last show ever and I was there!
what about the 70s
Best concert ,Freddie in his best ,still hé was ill but amazing power on stage 💯❤️✝️🙏
How I wish,I'm one lucky audience sharing this moment to ponder on..♥️♥️♥️
Now that is giving your audience respect & their moneys worth - that's Queen live!
Was luck enough to go to this concert on the saturday, I was 17 at the time and I've been to many more since but this was by far the best.
robert smith your very lucky sir. Here I'am wishing I was born more earlier I was born in 1991 and here I'am wanting to go their concert.
Glued together Brian may said, that's why they've been so successful .Freddie will be forever young gorgeous x
Beautiful band and friendship ❤️👑🌹🌹🌹🌹
As if a drum solo would bore people... Roger you're awesome!
I was 19 at the time when I saw the Wembley show and then went to see them at one worth the best shows and the best band I have ever seen!!! Feel privileged I was lucky enough to see queen at their peak
Put most of the bands around today to shame. Freddy was amazing at what he did and had one of the greatest voices of the 20th century, such a shame he left this earth too soon, but as with all legends the music lives on ❤️
I could watch and listen to these guys for hours on end. Oh wait--I'm already doing that!
Dr, Brian May (PhD from Imperial College, London) always composed !!
I was there nearly at the front. My first proper gig. 15 years old. X. Quo alarm inxs
I didn’t want this video to end 💙
Greatest frontman ever.
The BEST band ever Freddie as frontman Brian N John guitars N Roger drummer.
This old rock chick has been listening to music and going to gigs for over 55 years and IMHO there has never been a showman like Freddie Mercury. RIP to a legend.
I was born in 1984, I'm from Mexico, and I was introduced to Queen since I was very little thanks to my dad, Freddie had already passed, I remember my dad saying he passed from AIDS (this is also the first memory I have of this disease). Years later when I was probably in my early 20's I bought the DVD of this concert at Wembley as a present to my dad for Father's Day...little did I know watching that with my dad would totally make me fall in love with this band, the show was just so powerful and mesmerizing, and oh did I have a crush on John ♡ that bass is always so good! Anyway, it just makes me sad that Freddie didn't have a longer life :(
I love Rogers couldn't give a shit honesty.
Look down and there going for a hotdog.
Hahaha
Back of the net Roger
He's always made me laugh, great sense of humour. Brilliant drummer and was a good looker back in the day too.
And then saying Brian was never affected by that, stubbornly did his whole solo anyway, hahaha
We just so lucky blessed to witness such GENIUS. ... NOBODY REMOTELY COMPARES...
I first saw them at The Apollo in Manchester in 1979. Blew my mind.
I’m so jealous of you!!!
Freddie lo mas grande del universo
”That didn’t affect Brian” lol
I love how he looks to his right as if by instinct ready to apologize to brian because they've done so many interviews together :-D
Got goosebumps by merely watching this on youtube as they come on stage at 3:41 ....
I was there! My first gig too! Life changing weekend for me. Supported by The Alarm, INXS, and Status Quo. The Alarm were 'meh', INXS got bottled!, Quo were brilliant. All for £14.50.
I’m a simple girl. I see Queen, I click
1986 was their true peak, absolutely unstoppable.
its funny how the film was like a concert; a strong start, a melody, a strong finish
2:10 Roger Taylor looking superb...
This was great at the time, but because Freddie died it seems more beautiful than it did. It's a great time at the moment with people all remembering him with love and affection and remembering how good he was. Sadly missed .💔
Brian on guitars and weather: "If it rains its not the end of the world, but its a pain in the neck." I see what you did there Brian! :D
@@timbaxter7080 I think it is. He sounds like he's really picking on the rain.
@@ario118 Rain is not so easy to tune out
@@aneilp7631 LOL. You guys are all crazy.
awsome concert, wish i could go back in time and see queen live
:'(
That's a well glued and programmed Band and they can repeat songs and so anything you want to do you can do it without any Hassell.
Having a Queen marathon because the movie is coming out in a few days and what is the commercial I get. The trailer for the movie 😍😂
NadiaR. The movie certainly didn’t disappoint. Thought it more than did the band justice.
Without Freddie they are not the same but even now a Queen concert is still a great nights entertainment. I miss you Freddie.
Without Freddie and John :< Queen will never be the same
I went to a concert here in Australia. I’m 65 and of the generation who grew up with Queen and Freddie. I do admit Adam Lambert does a great job with the vocals. The stagecraft at these concerts even today is worthy of Freddie. He would love Adam. My opinion folks. Anyway, February 2018, Adelaide Australia. I was there, and I had the best time ever. 2hrs 47mins.
saw you guys with Adam Lambert in Birmingham recentlyish... the guitar solo is so true...😂🤣
I was born in 1988 and obviously I could have never been on that show, but having seen lots of gigs from 80s and 90s on dvds AND attending dozens of large live shows nowadays, I can tell you it's certainly the best live concert ever played and registered by human beings.
I loved when they played Elvis' songs! Brian sayin it takes back to their roots! Of course Legends inspired by Legend!
I was there on the Saturday night - after also going to Newcastle football ground the Wednesday before (Also went to Leeds for 'Hot Space', NEC for 'Works' and Live Aid) - Saw many, MANY rock gigs around that period - Queen were by far and away the greatest of all.
The best band ever, such humble, talented men, Freddie so missed
Humble????
@@timsplanet2 Yes humble, listen to Brian on this video, he's not saying what a brilliant guitar player he is, but he could do, because he is. Same with Roger, no boasting just telling it straight like it is. People always assume Freddie had an ego but it was just his stage persona, off stage he spoke quietly and he was almost shy. John Deacon, a ore humble person you will never meet.
Freddie is the best and he never day in my heart. I like he soooooooo much. Queen is the best!!!!!!!!
For Queen... No difference between record music and live music... Love it so much..
you are one of the most luckiest of men alive...I hope really did enjoy it to your best....
The " goats " of rock . absolutely different gravy .If anyone fancies disagreeing check, statistically best ever .
Views on CZcams for bohemian rhapsody is 1.5 billion .
The most hilarious thing is they are still going .
Respect to Adam lambert .
rock on boys , legends❤
I love watching John And Freddie jam!!
1986 WAS A GREAT PINNACLE FOR YOU! And FREDDIE WAS STUNNING.
I was there on the Saturday and OMFGG what a totally brill concert i have never forgot it
ooooh, you lucky man you have no idea how much I envy you:( It must have been incredible...
it was out of this world and the support acts were "The Alarm" "INXS" and Status Quo
chris rowley great wasn't it ! Will never forget the opening when he came on stage. ...The crowd went MAD !
Love you all. Cheers from Sāo Paulo Brazil. I watched you at Morumbi Stadium in 1981. Love you since.
I love how focused Brian is before going onstage. He knows that guitar inside out and he's still going to check and check every setting. I think I'd probably start questioning my own knowledge of how volume knobs work ten seconds before playing to that crowd, too.
I wish i was born earlier, how did I miss this? best band ever~ Freddie is one of a kind!
Just look at the audience, they have definitely got there money’s worth
Thank you for this wonderful video. Queen will always be in my heart.
Forever the champions.
3:30 is an eargasm. It is beyond magic.
Love it when he says to Brian 'right give us the right key for fucks sake'
You just can't take it away but feddie mercury is was best front man ever never again you will see a man like it bless him
The best ever band :)
i took two of my friends up to wembley to see this gig sadly i coundnt get a ticket so had to sit in the carpark and listen. sadly one of the friends died 2 yrs ago unexpectdly. I belive 4000 people who attended that fantastic day are now departed too. So for Freddy, my friend Robert and all others who attended thankyou for making this an epic event 30 yrs ago
How do you know 4000 people are departed who went to that event?
I wondered the same.
Bad luck and death seems to be a big part of your life. Happy Halloween.
Deacy, I miss Deacy so much
I'm always hopeful that one day just one day they'll one last gig together to end it all before its too late.
Deacy doesn't miss you, or the fans or the music. He's happily retired now and will not return to music in any way.
He had a depression and kind of nervous breakdown so I don't think it's very likely he'll be back. Also, Roger is deaf, Freddie is dead and only Brian seems to be doing OK.
@@jj9749 Freddie is not dead, he will live forever.
Well, all the good things must pass. Just like George Harrison used to sing..
Thank you for share this wonderful concert with Queen......the realle QUEEN! And Thanks to Brian and Roger who told about it, I have of course seen lots of time, but not with Bri and Rog’s omg I could have been there, I was 23 that time. But I had now money for the flaith, or even the ticket to the concert....and my pharents was not whelphy, a long way from that.....long story. But if I had got the money I HAD BEEN THERE......lol 🔥🔥💕
Was there on the Sat - Front Row and Center - Was at Live Aid a year earlier - this time in their career was a very special time, maybe it's because Freddie knew? But it certainly was a privilege to be there - the 60's kids go on about being at Woodstock, the 70's go on about Knebworth - We had Wembley!!
TBH forget Knebwoth etc , heh you had Freddy at Wembely you got the BEST!
I was lucky to be at Live Aid in summer 1985 and Queen stole the show.
Rubbish ...To real Music Historians : Live AID 1985 ....Freddie told he had Aids in 1987 ...... But it makes a Good Story for American Fake News
i'll love you till my last breath! Queen eternal!
Wow...I would have loved to have seen these guys live....
Вы чемпионы, парни!⚡☀️✨🔥
sweethearts. dont ever change darling.
Freddie Mercury’s Queen you're cute
Oh, brian, I really like "in the lap of the gods too" :] :)
I was there on the Saturday...incredible gig
Freddie Mercury... i don't how to describe this guy!

those were the days.
I saw Bowie, Gun'n'roses and Pink Floyd at Wembley.... But I REALLY wish I could have seen Queen there! :-(
The concert doesn't start until that guitar kicks in. I would give my left testicle to have an absolutely epic moment like that in my life.
4 genius. 4 legends and legends never die ! I ♥️ you so much Freddie, Brian Roger and John. 💋🐾👍👍👍❣🐱👑👑👑
A great documentary.
A cassette of this performance (called "Queen Live at Wembley Stadium" or something) was released in 1986. I bought it and then listened to it on my first Walkman over and over and over again until I thought I'd actually been there. That tape must have worn out or I got interested in Guns and Roses and lost it - or it's in some box in my parents' attic. But it was really great and this documentary makes me rather sad that I let it go.
Fickle creatures, teenagers. Fickle and unreliable. Speaking for myself as someone who was one once, of course. Long ago.
You know you can get this concert on dvd? Look on Amazon.
It's on CD and Spotify too. Much better than the abomination of an album that was Live Magic, which was also partly recorded at Wembley.
And I remember almost exploding with excitement when they played Lap of the Gods. ❤️
Love that song
Great documentary
When he said "soccer" it was like a tiny kick in the nuts...
Well i IS a british phrase...
Julian S. 😂
Now everyone says what they want .. ...
No doubt he was a very good team so together.
For that matter; Freddie Mercury was a musical talent.
He deals with all their music.
Freddie is the heart and engine of the band.
His wonderful voice and charismatic individuality were magical.
