  • IW Hockey reviews the True TF9 Ice Hockey Skate.
    Available at www.icewarehouse.com/True_TF9...
    The True TF9 Skates look to provide a whole new level of fit and performance at retail. Based on the clear success in the custom skate business, True is now offering a stock design filled with their elite technologies and materials.
    Unique to True Hockey, the TF9 utilizes a one-piece shell design that wraps and molds around the foot better than a traditional two-piece. By incorporating high-end carbon fiber and thermoplastic, True is able to deliver powerful energy transfer in a feather-light package.
    Comfort can truly be felt after the TF9 has been properly heat molded. The multi-density ankle pads in the HydroFoam Liner and the low-profile tongue create a 360 customized fit and feel before they ever hit the ice. Underneath the foot, the Personalized Fit System can accommodate low, medium and high arch types with its insert system!

    Chase, could you clarify how to adjust the tongue. It seems to me these dont allow to manage the volume inside, the velcro allows to find right position of the tongue on your foot (the tongue is of bended shape and is stiff that doesnt allow it to take the shape of your foot at any position), and your are lucky if the volume inside is right for you. When I adjust the volume, there is lace bite... when the tongue is at right place on the foot, the volume is too big... can you suggest anything how to solve this? Thanks.
    And the skates are oversized... my supreme is 8EE, True 8W is way too wide and too long.

    Anyone else have cracks in the carbon fibre? Had them maybe a month- play 2-3 times a week, low end hockey, but a few pucks to the feet seem to have left cracks (toe caps are pretty protective, though).
    BUT - those cracks in teh carbon fibre - need to worry? Send them back?

    Would this be a good equivalent of the Super Tacks As3 pros? If so which one would you reccomend

    • @ice.warehouse
      @ice.warehouse  Před 3 lety +1

      It's right on par with the top of the line skates from Bauer/CCM. I haven't had the chance to try the True's out with all of the rinks closed but I have heard really, really good things about the fit and overall performance.

    What is the most comparable skate to the tf9’s in a ccm or Bauer ?

    • @ice.warehouse
      @ice.warehouse  Před 2 lety +1

      Hmmm, that's a tough one but I'd say the CCM RibCor 100K Pro. It's a one-piece boot and not nearly as stiff as the FT4 Pros or the AS3 Pros.

    What is the stance of the skate like? More aggressive (Bauer) dipping forward or more flat? I prefer CCM and a more flat stance.

    • @ice.warehouse
      @ice.warehouse  Před 3 lety +1

      We have a learning center on how to size a skate on our website. It will help you find the correct width and length of skate. From there, we have a sizing chart on the True's TF9 product page on our website too.
