In this clip, Roger Reaves estimated that he smuggled 9,000 kilos, or 9 tons, in his lifetime, which he said equaled up to around $1.5 billion. When asked if he was sorry about what he’s done, Roger explained that when he was smuggling, crack wasn’t around, and he added that he repents for his past. Roger then stated that he’d warn other people against the life he led in the past, and he pointed out that he’s spent decades in prison. Roger then stated that the movie “Blow” is the most accurate depiction of smuggling, unlike “American Me,” which was about the man that used to work with him, Barry Seal. - Zábava

I like how he blamed all the deaths on crack vs when he brought it over. You can tell he enjoyed what he was doing and like he said it was fun. I think his only real regrets had to do with his family and how his actions affected them.

The amount of cocaine someone has to do to OD off of it is ridiculously high. I feel bad for his friend that passed away from it but it's incredibly hard to OD off that stuff so he must've done way way more than anyone should reasonably do.
He also told us the story about him getting ripped off from buying a brick of cocaine 😂😂

As other have said, it is hard to reach the levels of toxicity with cocaine to OD and you'd probably have a heart attack way before ODing. Glad just doesn't know what he's talking about half the time.
Many ODs are due to combinations (i.e. take enough heroin, coke, benzos and alcohol together and you might not wake up).
However, I did hear that coke is being cut with fentanyl in the States, which makes no sense to me as they are completely different drugs. Apparently this is how Michael K. Williams died (RIP) - coke cut with fentanyl.

Powder cocaine is very common still today and overdose deaths from it are extremely rare, usually its the combining with other drugs.

Overdosing on good coke is rare unless you do a boat load of it, just like any Prescription you get from a doctor. Mixing with other stuff will do it also like any meds.
The supply exists because of the demand. Especially in the States. Most shipments caught these days are valued at 500million to 1 billion and those shipments are probably going through weekly if not more frequently

It is pretty rare to OD and die off powder cocaine. It happens but it’s not super common. The addiction is a different story.
It's only rare because it's expensive. Most users aren't buying a couple balls for themselves.

Back in the day I did the math based on psilocybin's toxicity and it would take about 3 or 4 pounds for a normal person to die but it's physically impossible to consume that amount of mushrooms anyways.
